Guest guest
Dear TCM Medicine group. I submit an e-mail going out to all colleagues regarding a class action law suit recently filed. Our lawyers have approved the release of this information. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Richard ------------ Dear AOMNC Fellow Members and Colleagues: The time has come! After many years of hard work and steadfast determination....Richard Freiberg along with the Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine National Coalition, Corp. (AOMNC) as lead plaintiffs in a CLASS ACTION lawsuit which was recently filed in federal court in Miami, Florida against numerous healthcare insurance companies. Our lawsuit alleges that these healthcare insurers have conspired to deny payments to duly licensed acupuncturists and other non-doctor health care providers for valid claims. Our suit was recently transferred to the same judge who is presiding over the ongoing nationwide class action suit filed by physicians (MDs/DOs). It is important that our lawyers be able to identify specific instances where these defendants have denied, delayed, or underpaid your and your patient's valid claims. You do not need to list every instance, only some representative examples. It would be very helpful if you could provide them with the following information concerning any instances where one of these defendant healthcare companies refused to reimburse, or underpaid, a valid claim, or there was a long delay before payment/reimbursement. Obviously, particularly egregious examples are best. The information needed is: Date of treatment Patient # (Note: Block the patient's personal identification) Procedure performed (with code information) Approximate date of EOB Reason given for denial, downcode, etc. Reason why denial was incorrect Any other pertinent details, such as your efforts to straighten out the matter with the insurer. It would also be helpful if you could mail a copy of the EOB (explanation of Benefits) as well denying or underpaying your claim. We are looking for examples involving the named healthcare insurers, but if you have had similar experiences with other insurers please feel free to provide those names and instances for possible later inclusion in this lawsuit: United Health Net (or Foundation Health Systems, Inc.) Wellpoint Health Networks Prudential Cigna Pacificare Humana Coventry Anthem Aetna BCBS Any information you are able to provide will be greatly appreciated and will assist the lawfirm in the prosecution of this historical class action. Please do not rely on others to send in a few examples. We need to join together in thois effort to put an end to these activities. PLEASE send your documentation to Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine National Coalition Corp. 750 East Sample Road (2-209) Pompano Beach, FL 33064 ADDITIONALLY.......Please spread the word to as many colleagues that are licensed acupuncturists who might wish to participate in this class action lawsuit. They would need to immediately join AOMNC by accessing the website and then send by US Mail any documentation as requested above. Sincerely, Richard A. I don't want anybody to suffer, so, if they can pay money or something (blat),ok. If they can't afford tx, no problemo. Nobody is refused becauser of inability to pay. peace, franswa acudoc11 wrote:Dear TCM Medicine group. I submit an e-mail going out to all colleagues regarding a class action law suit recently filed.
