Guest guest
If you reply via the web, you can alternate the reply To address to either 1. the group, 2. the original sender, or 3. the list owner. If you reply via your email account or Outlook for example, then you have to be a little more careful and manually delete the group's email address and enter the email address you want. Guest guest
Pete, This is the kind of email that just swamps one's email boxes with no apparent benefit to others. I think it would be a lot more considerate on your part if you address Attilio only. Guest guest
Hi All, But how do we address each other alone? Is there a way to send a private message that only the intended recipient will receive? Also, I am unable to see the whole email addresses on posts---for instance, Marco's email looks like this: <marcop_10> So I can't email people directly. I'm also curious why people choose to have their settings set up so that they get swamped with every post. I get a daily digest, and most of the time I just come to this site and pick and choose what to click on. Any advice/ideas would be appreciated! Guest guest
Hi Marco! Well, you are entitled to your opinion. This was about a month ago. If you are just getting around to reading it now it is not my posts swamping your in box. I think your playing moderator is swamping people's in boxes as well, but what do I know compared to you? Guest guest
Hi Laura! If you would like to email directly to Marco <marcop_10 (click on that as a link and you will have a message addressed to him). How did I do that? I use Eudora <http://www.eudora.com/> (the sponsored version, has an ad that you can move around to a place where you like it - I keep mine upper right corner just next to the minimize button), then I double clicked on the message on the list and it opens in a window showing the full header, read down a few lines and there is Marco's address. I figured that out about a month ago, after I couldn't find Attilio's address. I didn't really want to post that message, but I didn't have Attilio's address. So a month later Marco is preaching to the choir, but I guess if his mailbox is swamped . . . Outlook Express or whatever you are using might do that, try it. Guest guest
Hi Laura, You can reply to a group member directly from within the group. Simply go to the post you wish to respond to, click on the reply link, then select the poster's email address from the drop down list after the " TO: " heading. This will allow you to respond directly to the poster, rather than to the entire list. It will also provide the recipient of your message with your email address, so he or she can respond back to you via email directly. Hope this helps. =o) Andrea
Guest guest
Hi Andrea! Depends on your email client, which one are you using? Guest guest
Hi Pete, I was actually referring to logging into the group web page through a web browser and responding directly from the web site, not using an email client. I take it you receive your message via email as I do. However, it's also possible to log onto the group web site ( Chinese Medicine ) and read/send messages from there. When responding to a post from the group web site, you can follow the instructions I provided earlier to send emails directly to the poster. I hope this clears up any confusion. Cheers! Guest guest
Hi All, It was not my intention to send this email again. It was in my 'Sent' folder and I meant to delete it; instead I re-sent it - pressed the wronk key. Sorry about that, specially Peter.
