Natural growth of teeth sometimes is not beneficial, >in such cases the braces can perform a valid function. I heard somewhere that one parent's genes (forgot which -- male or female) influences the shape of the jaw, and the other's genes the teeth themselves. Hence with more genetic mixing, as rapidly accenting into the modern global world, more structural teeth problems. But also, some (homogeneous) cultural groups seem to have chronic problems here too. Anyone know it this is well-founded or not?
