Guest guest
I forgot to mention: A classical example of the " ontological " thread of understanding disease in WM is " germ " theory. E.g., the current reduction of stomach/duodenal ulcer to infection by the heliobacter germ, and deemphasis on the possible factors which allow it to become rampant (e.g. the differential Dx of TCM cited in the Web that has no Weaver). That is, why does an infection occur? The heliobacter is probably ubiquitous, at harmless, undetectable levels. (Recent estimate: in the human body, with its mere ca. 10 trillion cells, are hosted some 100 trillion cells of microbes, " friendly flora " , representing some 500 varieties.)
