Guest guest Posted September 28, 2004 Report Share Posted September 28, 2004 Dear Hugo, I would have your patient find an endocrinologist who will test for Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Besides testing for the TSH level, the doc needs to test for thyroid antibodies to see if the thyroid is killing itself. The thyroid can be overworking itself, and the TSH level will come out " normal " . A lot of the symptoms you describe sound like Hashimoto's (I speak from personal experience).
