Guest guest
Butch, Glad to hear you are ok. Does Turkey have these often being on the Anatolian fault. At least it was not as devastating as the one in 1999. Sandi
Guest guest
Yo Deonia, Like you read ... I'm finer'n frog hair. There are many folks trapped under tons of concrete and rebar .. some who are alive now will survive and others won't. Moving debris to get to them is a tricky job ... takes a lot of sledgehammer and bolt-cutting work before you can lift slabs of concrete with a hoist .. if not careful, you create a see-saw effect that causes more harm .. gotta pick straight up and in small pieces. But when a foundation shifts on a long 4 or 5 story building, all floors crumble into one .. like a deck of cards. Worst thing about such rescue ops is you have to work slow to save people .. and while you are working slow, others will be sacrificed. No way around it .. Thankee much ... Butch > Hey Butch , Is everything OK with you???? Worried 'bout ya, give us a > holler so we'll know you're okee doakee. Yur buddy, Deonia
