Guest guest
Hey y'all, This being an AT list primarily, I feel an obligation to follow on with the peeing contests we have all had with the present NAHA Management - or should I say, lack of management, since the President, Jade Shutes, has been in the seat. I was a strong supporter of NAHA in years past, but I could no longer give my support when they became, in my opinion, inefficient, ineffective, and worse than that .. unethical. Those who are on the Idma List have seen my public condemnation of Jade Shutes and the organization .. those who are not on it should understand that they are missing something because even though it is not a list for the thin skinned, it is a list where the so-called professionals congregate and if you wanna be a so-called professional, you oughta hear what is going down. Below is a post sent to the Idma List a few minutes ago - it is one of the milder condemnations of the NAHA poistion now .. but still, I give Stacey credit for coming out. There were a couple of nurses who did a super-fine job of researching and preparing a study on Raindrop Therapy .. and they forced NAHA to post a position paper on Raindrop Therapy .. what some of us call Snowbank Therapy .. ;-p but NAHA wimped out and laid an intro letter in the voting process that is no less than total Conflict of Interest .. Kathleen can tell us about this too .. and she will I think in the next issue of her on-line pub. Anyway .. I present this because of my great CONTEMPT for the present management structure of the totally inefficient and ineffective (and in my opinion, totally compromised) organization called the National Assoc. of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) .. ;-( Butch ------------ Hey Stacey, Shame on you for asking all these tough questions to NAHA management. Don't you know that as an outsider, you are not supposed to be asking such things to the organization that claims to be representing American aromatherapists? Don't you know that you are also getting into an area that is really off-limits to aromatherapy practitioners .. that of development of the aromatherapy practitioner standards that are being tested by the ARC? Don't you know that you are forcing NAHA management to ignore your post because there are no valid answers that could be presented on a list that is read by folks who didn't come into the business yesterday. Shame on you Stacey .. you are nothing but a danged California Trouble Making Valley Gal ... ;-p Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AAT.com PS: Don't hold your breath waiting for a NAHA reply to your post. > Hello, > I have a few questions after reading the letter attached to the > non-credited position paper on RDT: > > http://www.naha.org/PDF%20Files/RDT%20Position%20Paper1.pdf > > What is a " variation " of Raindrop Therapy? > > Does it still involve dropping oils neat upon the spine? ? > Are variations also meant to correct scoliosis? > > Which " different essential oils " referenced in the letter are being > used in these variations that deem them acceptable for neat use > (if indeed the variations involve neat use)? > > Who teaches these variations that such a strong urge to protect > RDT to come into play? > > Are there a substantial number of NAHA educators teaching variations, > or maybe just one or two?
