Guest guest
Hi y'all, I don't see a lot of action on the list now so I'll throw this one in during the lull. Much to the delight of some, I been kinda quiet lately .. ;-p Reason is I'm still trying to finishing pricing the new oils I been promising to get on the list .. and its making me feel real guilty and kinda poor that they ain't on there now. The other thing is formatting the GCs. The Graphs, Main Components lists, and the Analyst comments, come in a slightly different format that is not really presentable to the average layperson .. a pain-in-the-butt and takes me right at an hour per GC to format. And they don't all come in an easy to format manner. Providing GCs is a pain to begin with but I created my company with that standard and even if I wanted to back off now, it is just not possible. Getting ready to offer new oils is a major task for me. I'm sitting on better than $20,000 in new oils and not ready to put'em on the street .. but By Gawd the pricing will be done today. Good Lawd Willing and the creeks don't rise, they'll be on the site tonight. I can't work tedious things except at night and weekends. Phones and meetings and visitors and my own folks interrupt me so I don't get to do things until all that goes away .. but there are posts to answer too, and orders to confirm, and a beer or two gotta be drank sometime. ;-p Anyway .. that's where I've been. The only postings I've made is some to the Idma List .. which you oughta be a member of if you really think you wanna learn about AT and EO. It is not a nice, friendly list like this one .. it is a cut-throat, butt-kicking forum that is not for the thin-skinned. But you can learn a lot from folks who disagree with you on issues. Come to think about it, you can't learn at all from those who agree with you .. ;-) If you haven't seen Kathleen's latest edition of the AFC On-Line Mag, you oughta .. its at http://www.smellennium.com/mag.index.html There's good stuff throughout but particularly, you need to check out " In The Beginning: The Origins of RDT " by one who was there .. also, " An Analysis of Rain Drop Technique, " by Lynda and Graham Sorenson .. and Chris, the List Mom done whipped some more aromatic eatin' on us with her article " In the Kitchen, This Month, Easter Candy. " All the stuff is worth reading and Kathleen's On-Line Mag is danged sure worth the measly amount of the annual subscription price. Fact is - Kathleen - its too damned cheap that price! ;-p I posted last night on Young Living and NAHA .. the two entities I love to hate - and this morning on both. I'm trying to keep my nose to the grindstone this weekend .. didn't even go out for a beer .. number crunching all the new oil prices. But YL and NAHA can bring me up for air .. ;-p They are the hottest two topics going down now on Idma and I feel bad that some folks are missing those posts folks are making since they are very informative .. and we gotta stay informed in the business. This one might give you a chuckle or maybe remind you of some of the tough decisions we gotta make in management positions. Margaret is the manager of AVNP in Maryland. I put a big monkey on her back Friday. Told her I wanted to hire a third employee now ... gave her the two candidates and told her I needed her recommendation with justification. One of the two candidates is her sister .. other is her sister-in-law. Cruel I am - huh? ;-p But they are the only two good ones I know in the big town of Friendsville, population 600. So .. enough of my rambling. Back to the Turkish Coffee and number crunching. Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com True Southerners know the difference between a " hissie fit " and a " conniption " and that you don't " have " them, you " pitch " them. True Southerners know how many fish, collard greens, turnip greens, peas or beans make up a mess. True Southerners know that " fixin " can be used both as a noun, verb and adverb. True Southerners never assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn. It might have been on when the owner bought the car. True Southerners make friends standing in lines. We don't do " queues, " we do " lines. " And when we're in line, we talk to everybody. True Southerners never refer to one person as " y'all. True Southerners grow up knowing the difference between " right near " and " a right far piece. " They know that " just down the road " can be one mile or 20 miles. True Southern babies are taught early that " Gimme some sugar " is not a request for the white, granular sweet substance that sits in a pretty little bowl in the middle of the table. True Southerners both know and understand the differences between a Good Ol' Boy, a Redneck, and Po' White Trash. True Southerners know grits come from corn and how to eat them. True Southerners know tomatoes with eggs, bacon, grits and coffee are perfectly wonderful for breakfast; that redeye gravy and taters are also breakfast foods; that fried green tomatoes are not breakfast food. True Southerners say " sweet tea " and " sweet milk. " Sweet tea indicates the need for sugar and lots of it - we do not like our tea unsweetened; " sweet milk " means you don't want buttermilk. True Southerners know exactly when " by and by " is. They might not use the term often, but they know the concept well. True Southerners know exactly how long " directly " is - as in " Going to town, be back directly. " True Southerners can show or point out to you the general direction of " yonder. " True Southerners know instinctively that the best gesture of solace for a neighbor who's got trouble is a plate of hot fried chicken and a big bowl of cold potato salad. (If the trouble is a real crisis, they also know to add a large banana puddin'.) True Southerners don't scream obscenities at little old ladies who drive 30 MPH on the freeway - they say, " Bless her heart " and go their way.
