Guest guest
Greetings Everyone- Just back, logged 2200 miles and feel like I am still driving. While out on in Kansas, a client ask me what I would use to add color to a bath oil that was carrier and eo, since I don't do this I have no idea. He said food color had not worked. This is something he is trying to create for this wife as a gift. Sweet! Any thoughts on the matter? ¸..·´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ...´ -:¦:- Janet -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*

Guest guest
Hi Janet, Welcome back! I agree with Tammy on this one .... maybe infuse the carrier oil with an herb that will impart color into that oil, and then make the blend with that colored carrier *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Janet Golden wrote: > Greetings Everyone- > > Just back, logged 2200 miles and feel like I am still driving. > > While out on in Kansas, a client ask me what I would use to add color > to a bath oil that was carrier and eo, since I don't do this I have no > idea. > He said food color had not worked. Guest guest
Food coloring is water-based, so of course it wouldn’t color oil. If he doesn’t have herbs on hand to infuse the oils with (and wants some other color than red, brown or yellow), then he can use candy colors. They are oil based, edible, and in small amounts will not stain the skin. They are not 100% natural, because they usually have food preservatives in them, and of course food dyes, but they do work excellent for purples, blues, greens, etc. Simply dip a toothpick into the candy color, then swirl it into the oil. Just a little bit at a time. The oil can be heated afterwards if necessary. The other thing that’s pops to most peoples minds is oil paint. Which he should not use!! It will stain the skin in small amounts. Should've called while you were in Kansas, we could have met up:) Blessings, Soseneda AIM: SosenedaA ICQ: 47264444 : soseneda_arianrhod MSN: Soseneda
Guest guest
Soseneda- Thanks for the info >Food coloring > >Should've called while you were in Kansas, we could have met up:) Silly me did not know you were there. I left Oklahoma City at noon on Sunday and drove straight through to Cedar Rapids in that rain storm. Can't say I saw much of Kansas. Slept a few hours and went to Vinton, Iowa to see one of Doc's elderly cousins, he had called all over and 20+ people came for dinner Monday night. I was nice had not seen some of these people in 10-20 years. We should put a file of city and contact info so when folks are traveling they have a chance to meet up. ¸..·´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ...´ -:¦:- Janet -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
