Guest guest
Hello: There is a mistake ( a big one ) in Norma Coney's book. She instructs you to add water to the lye. This will result in a volcano of lye and is very destructive and dangerous. Always remember to add the lye to the water. EZ way to remember is the snow always falls on the lake. Susan Miller Cavitch wrote the book " The Soapmaker's Companion " and " The Natural Soap Book " . " Essentially Soap " by Dr. Robert McDaniel is another fine guide to making soap. Happy Soaping!
