Guest guest
Happy Hump Day Folks We had a blackout here last night for several hours. Actually we had several small quick blackouts yesterday but then last night the power just went off, and stayed off ... it must've come back on some time in the middle of the night. So, this is a friendly public service reminder .. always be sure to have your house stocked with a flashlight (with working batteries ), candles, incendiary devices (matches, working lighters), a battery powered clock, a small battery powered radio can be helpful too - oh and its good to have at least one phone with a cord (amazingly they work in blackouts, cordless phones don't since they use a home base that has to be " plugged in " to work). OH, and don't forget to always save everything you are doing on the computer and save it often. I would have been really tee'd off if I had just done a whole bunch of work that I didn't save and then lost the power! Ya never know when the lights are going out and when they are coming back, so it is a good thing to be prepared. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Hiya Pat, At some point in the 7PM hour the lights flickered about 5 or 6 times and then they were gone, so instead of sitting home with the kids bored silly and nothing to do we ended up going to Target on the other end of Sugar Land, where the electricity was still on. When we got back home a bunch of the area did have power but our subdivision was still out, so I put the kids to bed and when we woke up in the morning we had electricity again. At least I had an excuse to use all these candles I have around here *Smile* Chris (list mom) New Item - Green Tea Seed Oil http://www.alittleolfactory.com Pat [eveningsongsoaps] Chris, When we arrived home shortly after dark, our house was dark also. Power came back on in wee hours of morning. How about you? Pat
