Guest guest
Hi all! My future mother-in-law has asked me to try and duplicate a recipe for some hand stuff she uses all the time. She buys it at JC Penney's and such for well over $20 an ounce. The ingredients are: Sea Salts Dead Sea Salts Magnesium Sulfate Oils of: walnut grapeseed avocado apricot jojoba and vit. E Essential oils of: peppermint orange lemon rosemary spearmint ruby grapefruit Now, sea salt and magnesium sulfate I have. What is the difference between Dead Sea Salt and regular ol' Sea Salt? Also, under " Oils of: " , are those all just the carrier oils do you think, or am I missing a few steps here? I don't think gathering the ingredients will be a problem-I think it's finding the right consistency that will be the battle. It appears to be pretty cut and dry, but am I missing a few steps here? Thanks- Kelley ¸..·´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ...´ -:¦:- The Simple Things -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* www.talk-freedom.com
Guest guest
Hi Kelley, This sounds like that one minute miracle thing that is all the rage these days... I have not used or made this product, but I believe it is made like a runny salt scrub...just liquid oils and salt that settles to the bottom. You can try 1 part salts (whatever your mix is) to 2 or 3 parts oils. For the oils, I would use more of the lighter oils like grapeseed and apricot, half amounts of the avocado and the walnut, and a teenie bit of jojoba and vitamin E at .5% since that is to prevent the oils from going rancid. That's exactly what it is! Adam's mom is a wonderfully kind person, but she is ANAL about her hands-wants them all soft and such. > I have not used or made this product, but I believe it is made like a > runny salt scrub...just liquid oils and salt that settles to the > bottom.
