Guest guest
Hi Dale, > So, fiddle around with your internet provider. Mebbe .. but its well concealed. ;-p > Hope this helps! > Dale Thanks ... likely it is that my server is selling addresses to those that Spam .. :-( > p.s. Have a great trip and WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN TURKEY?! Since I'm > new...tell me the story. Thanks .. and its not just new folks who don't know the answer to that question .. few do. I get 5-6 posts a month asking how a retired army dude wound up in Turkey and dealing essential oils. I wrote a canned pitch on it but I'll spare y'all that and give you the 2 cent version cause it was a winding and oft times humorous trail that led me here. I served here then was later selected to train in a secondary speciality of Political Military Officer with area specialization of Eastern Europe and primary emphasis on Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. Pulled many tours here, attended Turkish military academy, stayed here after I retired and worked a corporate job and so on .. this is my second home. > I've seen photos (armchair world traveler) and the colors of nature > there are beautiful. Yep .. true it is. Anatolia is the Cradle of Civilization. The area between the Tigris and Euphrates is so fertile its thought to have been the Garden of Eden. Because the climatic and geographic conditions of Anatolia are more hospital than the lands east of Turkey there are far more registered Biblical sites here than in any area in this region. Biblical scholars place the Tower of Babel in eastern Turkey and Mount Nemrut is the Turkish name for Mount Ararat. I guess you've seen the aromatic photos Chris took during her visits.
