Guest guest
At the bottom are a bunch of links - the first two are very good websites all about enemas, various cleanses, colonics, Q & A, how, who, etc. blessings Shan High Enema for Total Cleansing of the large Intestine http://www.enema-web.com/high_enema.html The high enema is the cleansing of all of the colon or large intestine. It involves the injection of a solution into the rectum and colon to soften totally fill soften and distend the entire colon including the cecum. Thereby causing the bowels to expel the contents of the large intestine. A high enema is often given to relieve severe constipation. Before a proctoscopic examination or various medical procedures. If you are in need of enema supplies you can purchase them here. http://www.enemabag.com/ During the administration of the high enema, you should lie on your left side ( http://www.enema-web.com/left_lateral_side_position.htm ) , with the right leg flexed. This position will enable the enema solution to flow easily into the rectum & sigmoid colon ( http://www.enema-web.com/sigmoid_colon.htm ) The solution most commonly used is a mixture of mild soap and approximately two quarts of warm filtered water that is placed in a container with a flexible tube and nozzle. The nozzle will be lubricated and inserted into the rectum about 2 to 6 inches, after which the soap solution ( http://www.enema-web.com/solutions.htm ) will be slowly administered. Injecting the solution slowly helps to minimize discomfort. Most healthy adults can easily take 2 qts. of solution with little or no discomfort. Upon completion of the mild soap suds enema and expulsion. A second enema should be given of 2 to 4 qts. of warm filtered water ( http://www.enema-web.com/warm_water_enema.htm ) to rinse out what's left of the soap. (You may add your herbal preparation to the water if desired) During this enema you want to take as much enema solution as possible to make sure that your entire large intestine is completely filled and distended. Normally on the second enema you will be able to receive quite a bit more solution. You may need to have a second container for the additional warm filter water that you can add to the bag after emptying the first syringe full solution during the second enema. Massage: When receiving the enema: Massage abdomen in a counter-clockwise direction this will help move the solution higher into the colon. (graph/picture here - go to url) Massaging the abdomen during the administration of an enema will help the recipient except more of the enema solution. When expelling the enema: Massage abdomen in a clockwise direction this will help move the solution back toward the rectum and anus. (graph/picture here - see at url) Massaging the abdomen while expelling the enema helps move the solution and feces toward the rectum and out the anus. It is also helpful to breathe slowly and deeply through the mouth to help minimize discomfort and enable you to take the high enema more easily. If you experience cramps, you need to let the person giving you the enema know, so that the flow of the solution can be slowed or stopped momentarily to make you more comfortable. Once the enema is administered, you will probably feel the need to move your bowels. If possible, wait about 5 or10 minutes to get the best results. Then move to the toilet ( http://www.enema-web.com/releasing_enema_on_toilet.htm ) and release your enema. You only need to hold the first enema for a few minutes the second and third enema you can move to the toilet immediately after the injection.
