Quick introduction: I am exclusively nursing my 5 month old DD. About

3 months ago I started eating a lot more dairy than normal and she

developed symptoms of food intolerances (blood in her poop and weird

diaper rashes). I cut out the dairy and in the process of researching

learned that many/most food intolerances are caused by leaky guts. In

our case my gut is leaky and is causing undigested food proteins to

get through to DD

I believe I also have yeast issues and have had them for 15 years or

more. My symptoms are mild depression, acne, severe gas, and yeast

infections. DD's current symptoms are eczmea, diaper rashes, " allergy

eyes " , cradle cap, and bloody poop.

I started doing the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (basically no grains,

starches, or sugars except for honey) 2 months ago. Within about 10

days DD's bloody poops became much less frequent (going from 2-3 times

a week to once a week, and then even less frequent). I started taking

enzymes (Enzymedica Digest Gold) with meals and snacks about a month

and a half ago. I've been taking a couple of cloves of raw garlic a

day for two months. I've also been taking l-glutamine, zinc, and MSM.

I've also been taking 2-4 Tbsp. of coconut oil per day.

I did two weeks of super strong probiotics, and then 2 1/2 weeks ago

started eating 1/2 cup/day of homemade goat yogurt for the probiotics.

A week after I started the goat yogurt, DD's eczmea, which was almost

totally clear, flared up. Three days later her first teeth showed up,

so I am not sure if the eczema flare-up is due to the teething or the

yogurt.

DD hadn't had bloody poop in 3 1/2 weeks, but Sunday and then again

today she had some. 5 days ago I started taking enzymes (Enzymedica

Candidase) in between meals. I suspect that the reoccurrence of the

bloody poop is due to the Candidase, since I've read that enzymes can

be very irritating to a damaged gut, but it could be a reaction to the

goat yogurt, too.

Questions: how do I kill the yeast without enzymes? The diet and the

garlic don't appear to be doing much of anything. And does anyone have

any thoughts on whether the bloody poop reoccurrence is more likely to

be due to the goat yogurt or the enzymes?

DD has had some problems with enzymes in the past--within 2-3 days of

starting them she would react in some way, either with sleep issues or

an eczema flare-up.

Help! (And sorry, this is very long.)
