Guest guest
Standing is a process that we learn during our early childhood, and it is usually not considered a hassle or a worry in our regular daily lives. But from my experience at work I found that standing still for some time can be agonizingly painful, and the working tradition usually demands such an action, especially when discussing a certain topic with somebody while standing. As small as this problem might seem, it put me in a `stale mate' for some period of time, and I was unable to get out of that position until the problem was faced and resolved with a technique performed regularly during the process of standing. The technique was developed after many trials and errors, and by now it became essential, since the benefits have been felt on a large scale. The technique is used every time my soles just start to hurt after standing still for some time. It involves resting on one leg whilst lifting the second leg slightly so that only the front part of the foot remains in contact with the ground. This means that the second leg does not even rest on its own weight, and the slight contact force between the front of the foot and the ground can be controlled and changed for better stability. This position has to be maintained until the pain in the foot is gone, after which the technique is performed the other way around to remove the pain in the other foot. It is very hard to perform this technique wearing `high heels', and I advise ladies to go ahead and shut down all the `high heels' factories. At first, the technique discouraged me, but later on it became as enjoyable as dancing. The benefit bestowed by this technique is the continual relief of the pain caused by compulsory standing, and this gave me the ability to approach the difficulties of life in a much more relaxed and genuine manner.
