Hi Belinda,

Emotional stress, toxin load, malnutrition, electromagnetic

interference, chronic infection or bowel dysbiosis, increase

stress homones and reduce immune response; physical stress

factors cause blood pressure elevation.

The vitamin E story is probably junk on its own, but not taking

supplements as your body needs them, in balance, could

conceivably increase BP. In other words it might not be the high-

E but the imbalance.

Why would you take E in large doses? Unless you're a heart

patient where you'd be taking 1000-1200 IU daily, 400-800 is

fine.

Most people are deficient in glutathione; you use precursors and

selenium to keep it up. Gluathione recycles other antioxidants so

you don't need to high-dose :)

Thanks Duncan. I had been doing some reading on antioxidants and it

seemed upping Vit E was a good thing to do! Well maybe NOT lol.

Thank you. The Vitamin I take does have selenium in it.

See that's the thing - and why I tend to think it was the Vit E---

I already do the gralic, cabbage, apples etc - have started adding the

celery.

I drink water with lemon juice and was eating grapefruits - need to

start that up again.

I can't say I don't eat fat - mainly in the form of coconut oil and

the teas are herbal..And I exercise daily.

And it seem to come on suddenly - I guess that's why I worry with the

kidney thing LOL

Many thanks! I have also started taking hawthorne the last two days.

My regime re high blood pressure and heart disease was/is:

Eat lots of raw celery and carrots, and two+ cloves at least of garlic, and

hot peppers every day.

Eat macarrel, sardines, fish, broccoli, bananas, apples, cabbage, Oatmeal,

and lots of grapefruit or oranges.

DON’T eat any fried or dairy food or fat. Don’t drink any more than 1 cup of

coffee/tea/soda a day. NO alcoholic beverages except a small glass of red

wine in the evening, sometimes. Pizza and preserved meats are to be avoided.

Suplements: Hawthorne Berries, Niacin, Aspirin, B12.

Donate blood every three months.

Ride a bike or walk a bit every day. Sweating is good.

Hi Belinda,

Large amounts of vitamin E are beneficial for hot flashes in women

who are in perimenopause or menopause. Large dosages of vitamin E are

cetainly NOT harmful, that is, unless they have soybean oil as one of

the major components in your specific supplement. This is the reason

we take standard process vitamin E with selenium. They do not contain

any soybean oils.

I have taken large amounts of vitamin E for YEARS, basically for

these problems.... CVD, high blood pressure and menopause!

Vitamin E benefits high blood pressure. I would be interested in

seeing the article you're referencing. There is no basis for these

remarks!

my advice is to keep taking the vitamin E in the amounts you are

accustomed to. Do not be intimidated but diligently search out your

sources of information!

Regards,

JoAnn
