Guest guest
Elaine, the foul gas is methane, which indicates a dysbiosis condition caused by bad diet; that is, insufficient fiber and insufficient inulin to feed probiotic organisms, too much carbohydate too. If it's a temporary fluorish after some meals it's normal and will correct itself in short order but if its chronic it means the intestinal wall probiotic bacteria has been replaced to some extent by pathogens. Many pathogens create toxins, and many of those toxins cause cancer, colitis, Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Once he knows that he'll probably at least change his diet, for the condition doesn't go away by magic, and consequences include chronic diarrhea, yeas or a lifetime of misery, and surgery such as bowel resection or colostomy. Kefi won't help much on its own. Diet should include more inulin to feed the probiotic organisms; I've helped way more than 1,000 with the approach. My inulin page explains bowel dysbiosis and supplies lots of references: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/inulin_prebiotic_probiotic.html Duncan Crow , " Elaine Gallant " <elainegallant wrote: > > > My relative has developed a rancid, nasty gas after eating.
