Guest guest
For strep I mix equal parts honey and freshly squeezed lemon with pulp, and dose a spoon every hour, letting it dribble down my throat. I also eat a raw clove of garlic about 4 times a day and take echinacea and vitamin c. astragalus. Gargle with very warm salt water, OFTEN! yeah, yeah, it is yucky but it works! Guest guest
I make my own total tonic, but it's not organic. I have fresh ginger, so I could make a tea out to that. I heard that baths can dehydrate you, but I love them so much I take them anyway. I have minced garlic, so I suppose that will have to do. No cleanses, crappy diet, and decompression from finals and Christmas. It's not so much that I eat crappy, foods is that I don't eat regularly. I'm just too busy to eat. But since I got sick eating and drinking makes me dizzy, like everything else (I have an inner ear problem). Thank you so much for your prompt and useful answer. -Shelby Rob Combis [rcombis]Tuesday, January 11, 2005 9:39 AMherbal remedies Subject: RE: Herbal Remedies - Strep possibility. Guest guest
The best thing I've found for a sore throat is an infusion of thyme (dried leaves or fresh) a teaspoon in a cup of boiling water. Let steep for a good 10 minutes. Then strain and add some raw honey and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Gargle with half and drink the rest.
