Guest guest
I have read about it's abilitiy to kill parasites, used externally or internally, many times. I know they use it on grains when they store it, to kill bugs when they get in it, so we have eaten more of it than we know. You can dust the animals for fleas, mites and et also being careful not to breath the dust. fft herbal remedies , " purple_midnight_sky " <purple_midnight_sky wrote: > > I have read that it is a great treatment for many things, including > detox in humans. Guest guest
You all have to be VERY, VERY careful to use the Food Grade DE. It will say CODEX on the bag. Real DE is diatomaceous earth, NOT clay! The DE/clay you get at a swimming pool store will kill you eventually if used internally or if you breathe the dust. I can send MSDS sheets if anyone wants it for the non-CODEX DE. I get my DE from Perma-Guard, check it on the web. They have lots of information there. I use it on all my animals and myself inside and out. Guest guest
We used it to naturally get rid of fleas in a flea infested house, and it worked. And you can take it internally for parasites, although we haven’t done it. Just don’t get it in your lungs or eyes. Guest guest
We have used it to keep dried beans and grains vermine free (put in a food grade bucket with tight lid and the food stuffs) also, use the food grade diatomaceous earth. We have used it to de-worm the dogs, mixing it into food for two weeks, then skip a week and redo. Works really well. Skip the week so you catch the whole life cyctle of the parasite. You can take it too. We use it in veg caps, so we don't have to taste it. Also can be used to treat pests in the garden. sprinkle on the leaves of the plants and on the soil. You have to renew it after watering or rain, as it goes into solution and is not effective unless dry. It cuts up the bodies of the pest insects, and it will do the same to beneficials, so we mix this method with other barrier and mechanical methods. We also just pick the insects off and use red pepper spray we mix ourselves. And sometimes, we do nothing and wait for the beneficial insects to show up who eat the bad bugs. Guest guest
Is anyone using this? I am thinking of buying some for our whole family to start taking, even my pets. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it? sharon
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I've been using Diatomaceous Earth for about 4 months. I read the various stories at: http://www.earthworkshealth.com/ and wanted to see if I could lower my blood pressure, which was 149/91. I felt good since it's all natural and very inexpensive. I mix 2 tablespoons with a Hanson's Nectar juice drink at breakfast. The " Earth " is a white powdery substance, so mixing it with a thick juice (nectar or tomato juice) it easy and you don't taste the powder. After 1 1/2 months, I went to the doctor and my blood pressure had reduced to 123/82! I've gone to the doctor 3 other times since then, and each time my blood pressure was completely normal. I was suprised and pleased. So after that first month, my husband also started taking the Diatomaceous Earth. He also had (past tense) high blood pressure, but it is also completely normal now (124/78). I told my friends at work and they asked if I had noticed anything else. Once I thought about it, I realized that I had not taken any pain medication for the bursitis in my left shoulder. I usually need to take pain medication at night, or I wake up from the pain. I don't need the pain med's any longer. Then I also realized that my finger nails were no longer breaking. They are very strong and healthy. They hadn't been healthy for the past 3 years, since I had chemo for a recurrence of breast cancer. My hair is also much thicker than before. After these positive results, I decided to try it on my 11 year old dog. He's a boxer with severe arthritis. He was in pain most days and would just lay around without moving much. I started to mix 1 tablespoon into 1/3 cup of canned dog food and then feed it to him with his regular dry dog food. To make a long story short, he's now running around, jumping, playing ball, like a much younger dog. It's been an incredible transformation! I also tried the insect control by spreading a stream of powder around the house. I normally have ant problems in the spring/summer but the ants aren't crossing that " Earth " powder line. The website says that the powder scratches the hard coating off of bugs when they walk over it. I'm not sure, but so far, so good. People at my job have noticed the difference in my hair and 4-5 ordered their own Diatomaceous Earth, mostly for arthritis issues. I'm a believer! It's wonderful to find something inexpensive and natural that works as well, or even better than medication. Good luck!
