Guest guest
Hi Tony and , Since joining the group a few weeks ago, I have been following every strand of info that relates to Oleander and its affect on Cancer. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer in May last year. He was admitted for surgery and had part of his right lung removed. Following the operation, surgeons were optimistic and positive claiming that the tumor was removed in it's entirety. How relieved we were that he would not require Chemo. We rejoiced too soon! Unfortunately my dad started getting pains in his rib (located on the opposite side to the now large scar). Further x-rays identified that the cancer had metasised to his ribs. What was even worse was that Doctors realised that the cancer had already moved to the rib BEFORE the operation. This was not picked up even though he had undergone a full scan. Needless to say, my father was advised to commence chemotherapy and radiation. He has had 2 bouts of chemotherapy 6 lots of 1 per week, followed by 1 week of radiation, followed by more chemo and more radiation. Both my mother and I were so anguished by the thought of him having Chemo, but he has put all his faith in his Oncologist and believes that he will be able to heal him. Unfortunatley, the radiation and chemo have done very little to heal him. Quite the opposite. The last drug - Taxotere has taken it all out of him. He is one third of the man he used to be. Such a big, strapping and strong man is now a frail and almost emaciated being. We as his children, living abroad were so shocked by the sight we saw when returning home to South Africa to be with both parents. After contacting Marc from Sutherlandia OPC, I purchased some Oleander and straight away put him on it. As per his advice he is on 2 tablets per day. The second week of each Taxotere chemo treatment was the worst. My poor father couldn't keep anything down but this too eased. I had a meeting with the Oncologist and advised that he was taking Oleander. Much to my dismay and sadness he laughed at my expense and told me that I was trying to cure a man with 'a weed that grows on the side of our South African roads'. To cut a long story short, I am now back in the UK and Dad has been on a good eating programme, taking Oleander twice per day, doing vegetable juicing, following the Budwig protocol (as per Marc's recommendations) and taking NAC. He is now off the pain patches that the doctor had prescribed (which are morphine based and were making him so tired that he just slept and slept). He is completely positive as he believes the chemo is helping. He is about to get the second biggest jolt after the initial news last year. The Oncologist no longer wants to continue giving him chemo. There is no hope and there has been no positive outcome after all the treatment. In one way I am glad as the chemo is killing him! But my biggest fear is that he will no give up completely. He just wants to carry on and on with the chemo. There's nothing left of him and he still doesn't understand that it's not helping. I am so desperate for him to put his energy into the healthy option but we as a family keep hitting a brick wall. He will take anything you give him so in that way he is very responsive. I would really love some advise on how to proceed. Is he taking too little Oleander. Should I be increasing the dose to 6 capsules per day instead of 2. He is currently taking 2 NAC tablets a day and also drinking one portion of Barley Green per day. He started coughing again this week (but this was happening in week 3 of each Taxotere treatment). The coughing only happens at night when he is lying down but it is freaking my poor mother out. I know whilst I was being caregiver it is the most unsettling thing as this is how the cancer was identified in the first place. It is quite sad that everyone we have spoken to does not believe in the Natural route as they haven't seen many results. I believe in my heart that they are wrong. I would just love for my parents to be able to see a naturopatch or a health specialist that can help them progress further down this route. Your help and advise would be desperately appreciated P.S. I've heard many people talking about their PSA levels. What exactly is that and how is that measured. Is this the cancer levels within the blood? My doctors Oncologist has only done 1 or 2 blood tests that measures the cancer levels within the blood. He was measuring Dad's progress by his pain levels and the x-rays every 6 or so weeks. Thank you for all your hard work and keep it going! God Bless Regards V
Guest guest
Bless your heart V, I can only imagine what you and your family are going through. First of all, your dad is clinging on to hope and he has placed that hope on chemo, probably from what he has trusted in all his life, mainstream medicine. The good news is that he is following your instructions. It is normal for doctors to dismiss natural healing alternatives. At least your doctor laughed. Some doctors become belligerent. Yet, they don't acknowledge that the mainstream way will rarely heal anyone. The statistic is 2% and once the cancer has metastasized, chemo will not eliminate it. My advice is to continue with what you are doing and, at this point to additionally follow everything recommended in A Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol. I assume that you are giving him Sutherlandia OPC. With the severity of his cancer, that should be increased to 10 a day. However, increase gradually. He may experience some diarrhea. If this happens, wait until it passes to go up to the next dosage. Keep in mind, your dad is relying on the chemo for healing. When the doctor tells him that he can no longer have chemo, he may lose hope. My question is, what else will he tell him? Will he be put on hospice? At this point, it is imperative that your dad be given hope and this is where you and your mom come in. It is crucial to remain positive, and I just don't mean your dad, but also your mom. I can imagine how heartbreaking this has to be for her. It looks like there has been some improvement with what you have been implementing. Maybe it is time to tell him that it is these measures that are responsible for his improvement, not the chemo. He may fully realize this when the doctor tells him that they are stopping the chemo. And this may give him the motivation to follow the protocol willingly in full force and effect, with a positive attitude. With regard to the coughing, see if your mom can prop him up when he goes to sleep. Does he have a hospital bed? Or what she can do is put bricks under the legs by the headboard. Is he congested? Is he taking any breathing treatments? Nebulizing with colloidal silver and lobelia may also help. You will find the lobelia at the bottom of the page of that link. When it comes to colloidal silver, we recommend only the best and that is Utopia Silver. Additionally, by using coupon code LR001, you will receive a 15% discount on any of their products that are not on sale. If congestion is present, they also have an excellent product that will relieve it by the name of Clear Lungs.I believe a PSA test is only for prostate cancer.V, please know that we are here for you and your family. At this point, hope is the number one issue, followed by following the entire protocol referenced above. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your kind words, support and assistance. I've been trying to support my folks from here but I think my mom is just giving up now. I forwarded her the link & her response was not the nicest. I can understand as this is all just getting too much for her. she is not used to being the carer as Dad has never ever been sick. To now be so debilitated is almost too much to bear. I know the anger that is arising is par of the course. It is in God I trust and His will be done. Thanks 4 the advice, I am sure to be seeking further assistance along the way. Take careV Sent from my iPhoneOn 15 Feb 2010, at 23:22, May <luellamay129 wrote: Bless your heart V, I can only imagine what you and your family are going through. Guest guest
Maybe it would help if I gave your mom the phone number to my 86 year old uncle who had lung cancer about three or so years ago that was beginning to spread after mainstream treatment failed him. He listened to me and also had his brother-in-law go to MD Anderson to check out what they had to say about oleander, and he started using oleander and a healthy diet and lifestyle and some other supplements and his cancer stopped growing, then started to shrink and finally all cancer was gone with only a small benign mass of scar tissue remaining. Let me know and I will pass the number along to you privately. All the best, oleander soup , Vanessa Favero <vanessafav wrote:>> Hi ,> Thank you for your kind words, support and assistance. Guest guest
Hi V,I can understand how your mom feels. It has to be very disheartening to see her partner in such a condition, and I can understand how easy it would be to give up hope. Yet, if there is even a glimmer of hope, maybe you can convince her to pursue it.It is in God's hands. Yet, maybe God sent you here for a reason. You never know. Tony had an excellent suggestion. See if your mom would be willing to talk to his uncle.Big Hugs to you, Reply to sender | Reply to group Messages in this topic (1) Recent Activity: New Members 13 Visit Your Group Start a New Topic MARKETPLACE Going Green: Your resource for green living Switch to: Text-Only, Daily Digest • Un • Terms of Use . Guest guest
Hi Tony,I would be grateful if you could forward me his contact details. Even if I just call I can obtain as much info as possible. My brother is flying out to them on Tuesday so he can be there for the meeting with the Oncologist. My fear is that my father will not accept that the chemo has been futile & will want to continue. Our aim is to get him onto a rigorous diet plan & follow the protocol as much as possible. My only concern is that even though we took him to a dietician a few months ago, the diet prescribed was not a diet to fight cancer (my opinion of course) Many diets advise what NOT to eat but I need some advise on what he CAN and MUST eat. Do you perhaps have any info that my brother could take with him/I can send. One more thing please. You recommend supplements for companies obviously based in the states. Can you recommend any supplements manufactured or distributed with South Africa? Thanks for both you and 's advice. Keep up the brilliant work.V Sent from my iPhoneOn 17 Feb 2010, at 20:34, "TonyI" wrote: Maybe it would help if I gave your mom the phone number to my 86 year old uncle who had lung cancer about three or so years ago that was beginning to spread after mainstream treatment failed him.
