April 20, 1999: Columbine, Colorado: 18-year-old Eric Harris was on the

antidepressant Luvox when he and his partner Dylan Klebold killed twelve

classmates and a teacher before taking his own life in the bloodiest school

massacre

in history. The coroner confirmed that the antidepressant was in his system

through toxicology reports while Dylan Klebold's autopsy was never made

public.

 

May 21, 1998, Springfield, Oregon: 15-year-old Kip Kinkel murdered his own

parents and then proceeded to school where he opened fire on students in the

cafeteria, killing two and wounding 22. Kinkel had been on Prozac and had

undergone “anger management†classes.

 

 

April 29 1999: A 14 year old boy shot two children, killing one, at W.R.

Myers High School in Taber Alberta. He was student of the school who was seeing

a psychiatrist who prescribed him Dexadrine just prior to the shooting.

 

March 21, 2005: Red Lake Indian Reservation, Minnesota: 16-year-old Native

American Jeff Weise, reportedly under the influence of the antidepressant

Prozac, went on a shooting rampage at home and at his school, killing nine

people

and wounding five before committing suicide.

May 20, 1999: Conyers, Georgia: 15-year-old T.J. Solomon was being treated

with a mix of antidepressants when he opened fire on and wounded 6 of his

classmates.

 

March 7, 2000: Williamsport, Pennsylvania: 14-year-old Elizabeth Bush was on

the antidepressant Prozac when she blasted away at fellow students in

Williamsport, Pennsylvania, wounding one.

 

March 22, 2001: El Cajon, California: 18-year-old Jason Hoffman was on two

antidepressants, Effexor and Celexa, when he opened fire at his California

high school wounding five. Hoffman had also undergone an " anger management "

program.

 

April 10, 2001: Wahluke, Washington: 16-year-old Cory Baadsgaard took a

rifle to his high school, and held 23 classmates and a teacher hostage while on

a

high dose of the antidepressant Effexor.

Congressman opposing S.1082. The letter includes, " I want full disclosure of

clinical trials, not the watered-down pharmaceutical industry-friendly version

in S.1082 that allows drug companies to hide their problems, " or write your

own message.

S.1082 is scheduled to go to the Senate floor for a vote on Monday, April

30th, so act now!

The bill does not require full disclosure, by the pharmaceutical companies,

of all their clinical trials, including the ones with negative results.

 

“The bill [s1082] does not address the outstanding critical problem that the

office responsible for post-market drug safety lacks the independence, lacks

the authority to promptly identify serious health risks and take necessary

steps that will protect the public. As I think we all agree, the FDA is in

desperate need of major overhaul.â€

message on weekends) at 800-614-2803 to give your own message or: " Vote NO

on S.1082- the FDA Revitalization Act! It doesn't protect us from unsafe

drugs, it does the opposite! It creates a drug company inside FDA while giving

FDA broad new power to attack safe dietary supplements! "

Internation Studies and Warnings on Psychiatric Drugs since 2004

The FDA approved updated labeling for the antidepressant Effexor XR which

noted that this antidepressant can cause homicidal ideation.

 

Following a BBC news report on antidepressants causing aggression and

homicidal behavior, the British Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority

advised

that it had issued guidelines that children should not be given most SSRIs

because clinical trial data showed an increased rate of harmful outcomes,

including hostility.

 

The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration - In a recent study

involving Prozac, it said, there was an increase in adverse psychiatric events

(acts

and ideation [thoughts] of suicide, self-harm, aggression, violence.)

 

The European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human

Use reaffirmed that all the latest antidepressants could cause increased

suicide-related behavior and hostility in young people.

 

The European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human

Use issued its strongest warning against child antidepressant use, stating that

the drugs caused suicide attempts and thoughts, aggression, hostility,

aggression, oppositional behavior and anger.

Many studies also linked sudden deaths, strokes, heart attacks,

hypertension, liver damage and birth defects to the drugs that are being

prescribed to

our children for depression, ADHD, and ADD.

The video has lots about school shootings, and violent behavior of children

on SSRI drugs, studies about the dangers and also makes the points I included

below.

 

When they are slowly weaned off the drugs and they rebuild their body with

the nutrients they need, and that the drugs have depleted from their system,

they become whole again. They can function again and they are so grateful to

just be normal. They say over and over again, " I have my life back! "

 

 

People take their child to the doctor instead of looking at what they are

eating - all processed food. Teachers who understand this problem can tell who

didn't eat breakfast and who had too much sugar and junk food, with no fresh

fruit or vegetables.

 

Additives in processed foods, such as colors, flavors, and sweeteners,

affect their ability to concentrate and their behavior.

 

Many allergies are because of their diets.

 

Nutrition is a big part of it, doctors don't look into a person's diet

before prescribing medication.

 

People don't understand the importance of what you put in your body.

 

In our current society, children are looked at as potential markets, not

people that need to be cared for.

 

One woman's son was taken away from her and she was arrested and put in jail

for refusing to give him these drugs that made him feel worse and negatively

affected his mood.

 

A young woman who is now off the drugs said, " You trust the doctors and

councilors and expect them to make you better, not give you the worst experience

you have ever had in your life. "

 

The drugs serve parents who are overwhelmed with the demands of work,

teachers to manage their classes, and pharmaceutical companies to have souring

profits.

 

Stop the labeling. Stop the drugging, and lets talk about how to live

healthy lives. Parents need to find a parenting style that matches the needs

of

their children. Kids get depressed for reasons. Hope does not lye in a pill.

 

" I took him off all the drugs, within 3 weeks, he grew, he was so much

healthier, he was a different child. "

 

Discontinuation of the drugs can cause dangerous withdrawal affects. They
