Guest guest Posted October 1, 2007 Report Share Posted October 1, 2007 Phaleria macrocarpa (mahkota dewa), A shrub that grows in areas of 10-1.200 m above the sea level, and best in areas of 1,000 m above sea level. The plan can reach a height of 5 m, and its most productive age is between 10-20 years. It features a many branched crown, a large straight root (1 m long) exuding sap, a brownish green bark and white wood. It has green tapering leaves, 7-10 cm long and 3-5 cm wide. Its flowers form a compound of 2-4 flowers, little white trumpet-like fragrant flowers. The fruit occurs in various sizes, changing color from green to maroon. The pit is round, white and very poisonous. The part of Phaleria Macrocarpa that are used for medicinal treatment are the stem, leaves, and fruit. Empirically, Phaleria Macrocarpa capable of controlling cancer, impotency, dysentery, hemorrhoid, diabetes mellitus, allergies, liver and heart diseases, kidney disorders, blood diseases, arthritis, rheumatism, high blood pressure, stroke, migraine, various skin diseases, acne and cholesterol. Moreover Phaleria Macrocarpa, evidently is capable of controlling disorders in animals. Studies conducted found that Phaleria Macrocarpa contains antihistamine, antioxidant, and anti cancer subtances. I'm a herbalist, I am an Indonesian traditional therapist, Phaleria Macrocarpa is the base ingredient of my herbs as the main medicinal substance.
