Guest guest
I recently was hospitalized because of an abcessed tooth infection. The doctors said the infection can get behind your eye and cause meningitis or death. While infected it caused my eye to swell and a loss of hearing in one ear. An abcess is a serious problem which needs to be corrected by a professional!
Guest guest
Talking about teeth, I have had too much of my share and everyone's so from experience I have tried natural remedies without any resolution for my problems. I am fortunate in that my insurance plan by Aeta, a group one that is ending soon, took care of all my dental problems including root canals, fillings, crowns, etc. I prefer the natural way but I was in the chronic state having lousy dentists, poor care and needless extractions by the " dental butchers. " I luckly found a great dentist so I am winding down on my dental regime that insurance has covered to the max. I do believe from my reading too that people have died because of dental neglect. Not to scare anyone here. I wish I could say I have been able to take care of my problems without the dental work, but have not. At this point I am interested in keeping what I have in my mouth. I know two dentists were anxious to pull one tooth and this same tooth my new dentist was able to have root canal and crown done for. He saved me one of many teeth. I wish I had recommendation on finding the right dentist or a good one, but this has been a challenge for me. Best to you on your abcess. I have several of them and can relate. I am very slow in taking meds too. Maybe more resistent is how I would say for me. My husband was on Amoxicillin, an antiobitic, and had a severe allergic reaction I wrote about today, that triggered " dormant' Candida. Vicodin is super strong and we refused to take this drug. It does make you drowsy, can't drive when you take this too. I know with the drugs my husband had an abundance of yeast, Candida, so that is why he is doing a Candida cleanse, from health food store, Ion Cleanse treatments by practioner, no fruits at the moment and no breads. For him it is working. Feel well. carolg , Courtney Kinear <ckinear wrote: > > I have friends who have used dental herbs. Guest guest
Sadly my next door neighbor died from complications from infected teeth, my friend's brother did too. Both men had problems with going to the dentist (money and fear). Both were under 50 years of age. Guest guest
wel when we are treating patients we are not allowed to use peroxide on them as it makes our teeth brittle but it cleans them. Michael <mwood wrote: I have been using peroxide to brush for at least 25 years with no problems. As with all things moderation is the key. Guest guest
I also recall A guy getting ozone injections to the infection site when all else seemed to fail to clear up the infections. When he started he said the injection effect was dramatic and as the series progressed the effects were less noticeable meaning that the infection was clearing up. Best wishes, Bb
Guest guest
About 35 years ago, I was hospitalized for a car accident. There was a young girl in the room with me who had an abcessed tooth, she was 12 years old. Her parents were very poor and did not have the funds to take her to a dentist. The abcessed tooth had literally eaten a hole through her cheek by the time they sought medical help at the ER. She had to have immediate surgery to pull every single one of her teeth. The infection was in her bloodstream at that point and the doctors told her parents, had they waited another 24 hours, she would have died. Linn > Ditto! Please don't mess around with teeth and try and find alternatives, > especially for something as serious as abcess. Guest guest
Then your patients are in grave danger as this is a known fact with any first year dental student. I DID give you an example! It damn near killed my friend. Bb
Guest guest
I have to disagree as well. Having had several abcessed teeth, I was fortunate to have dentists who were " on the ball " about treating them. I was just at the dentists' office today and read in Time Magazine where a little boy died of a systemic infection brought on by abcessed teeth. I am always careful in taking antibiotics after I have dental work. As a dentist, you really do need to research this subject. It is a proven connection between heart-related problems, systemic infections, brain infections and more.
Guest guest
I have had a dental problem for some 6 or 7 years now ... I had a 4 tooth bridge fitted about 20 years ago but one of the 'anchor' teeth has come away from the bridge and would cost £1000 ($2000) to repair! If I eat junk carbohydrates - especially white sugar, the gum above that tooth will swell up quite badly. I keep my immune system in 'tip-top' condition mainly through diet and avoiding all junk non-food but the one thing I've found to be an absolute God-send is a Waterpik which directs a fine jet of water under the gumline and chases out any debri left after meals, it cost me £30 ($60) Ray. Guest guest
Dear Tonya I just read this and it may be too late. Pure Herbs slippery elm is a liquid. I was told to put it on a gauze by the root of the tooth and keep it there 3days. Change it to eat and sleep. After three day it came to a head and burst. No more absess!
