Guest guest
HI! funny...I was just telling a friend of mine about this same juice! I picked up some information on it abou 4 months ago at my health food store. If I remember correctly it costs around $40.00 a bottle ( about 1/5). The hfs gave me a nifty "newpaper" called HEALTH WATCH. by a co. call Media vision L.C. It has a lot a article written from the doctor side of it and the patient side of it.. There is a great article called "Why Mangosteen? Scientific studies validate natural remedy" by J. Frederic Templeman, M.D. In it he speaks of the antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammaotory and antitumor effectos of the manosteen fruit. He discusses article that appeared in teh journal "Biochemical Pharmacology" wich published a study lead by Dr. Nakatani of Japan regarding the anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effects of the magosteen. Dr. Nakatani suggests that the biologically active substance in mangosteen, called xanthone, could be used as a therapeutic agent for the treament of Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis patients. It also helps root canal infections, baby's eczema, fot virus hat lasted a decade, chronic acid reflux discomfort....these are just a few of the 'headlines' from the little newspaper brochure thingy I rec'd. Personally...from the research that I've done on it...I would use it. When I got really frustrated because I couldn't find the DMSO as quickly as I wanted to...I purchased the Mangosteen juice from the hfs instead. Cisko got 1 oz each day. His tail is fine!!!! Its actually a little stunning! *grins* hm! go figure - it actually worked the way it said it would! (btw - thank you! everyone for the suggestions! ultimately I found it at the local feed store ....although I haven't used it yet....he seems to be fine with the mangosteen! LOL) Waggs~~ Tash runutts2000 wrote: Has anyone heard of mangosteen fruit and the company 'Xango' who is distributing it? Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Had I not known someone who had tried it - I probably would have bagged the whole idea. I took my aquaintance at her word. I ended up trying it and I am glad I did. At least Cisko is anyway... ~ runutts2000 wrote: Has anyone heard of mangosteen fruit and the company 'Xango' who is distributing it? Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
well, for that matter Nature's Sunshine makes a better mangosteen juice without preservatives--it is called Thai-Go. Costs less too and it isn't a MLM company sort of thing. My cousin has been trying to get me to buy into Xango and there is no way. Guest guest
Funny, I was just in a new herb shop this afternoon and the owner was telling me about Thai-Go. It's expensive ($39- but I didn't have my glasses on :-), but there are no preservatives and so it needs be refrigerated and used within 3 weeks. But, supposedly very high in antioxidants. It would be a good juice to use on the cleansing diet. herbal remedies , " Flo " <fgarig@b...> wrote: > well, for that matter Nature's Sunshine makes a better mangosteen juice without preservatives--it is called Thai-Go. Guest guest
Personally - I prefer the Xango. My aquaintance who recommended it is the lady from my hfs. I don't really care if it is a 'mlm'. In this day and age in our economy almost any small business whose business is providing a product could be construed as an mlm. so I don't worry to much about who is it is that is making money off of me...if it works...it works fgarig wrote: well, for that matter Nature's Sunshine makes a better mangosteen juice without preservatives--it is called Thai-Go. Guest guest
I hate to say this but Nature Sunshine can be considered an MLM company also as it has individual distributors just like Xango.Flo <fgarig wrote: well, for that matter Nature's Sunshine makes a better mangosteen juice without preservatives--it is called Thai-Go. Guest guest
The point is, that MLM products are priced higher. -- In herbal remedies , Natasha Cutwright-Boyd <hunipt@n...> wrote: > Personally - I prefer the Xango.
