Here at the doctors office we've come up with a tooth powder that I'm trying to convert into a paste but cannot find two components that aren't horrid. 1) a container that is easy to use yet safe for both product and user and 2) An agent that will preserve and hold the herbs in a semi liquid state. how about honey? preservative and semi liquid. may not taste great, but you don't keep it in your mouth too long. just a thought. carlin
Guest guest
Thankyou for this toothpaste formula. I remember my grandfather using a mix like this and he had fine teeth all his life. I've been using toothpast from the health shop but I am going to try this formula and mix it with a little of the tooth and gum formula. I don't know what doctor's office you work in but I certainly wish it were where I live - we don't have any doctors around here that use natural solutions, at least none that I have heard about and thats not good at all ... - Office Manager herbal remedies Wednesday, April 06, 2005 5:25 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Re: Dental Surgery help - JAN & The Original Tooth Paste/Powder Dear Jan, Excellent Reply Jan. Exactly right on all counts. Did you know the paste they use for polishing is FLORID?!?! Nothing else but! Yuck! At least with the dentist I went to was. I was aghast to say the least. I haven't been back wither as they told me I was sooooo good with my teeth. Hadn't seen a dentist in 5 years and they tell me that. Makes you think. You can bring in 3 parts baking soda powder and 1 part sea salt (fine) and have them use that instead. Usually they will use anything you ask them to as an alternative. The above formula is an old seaman's formula and is all you ever need to brush your teeth. So simply and yet very effective in cleaning the teeth. Anything other than soft bristle is damaging to the gum and enamel of the teeth, you can literally brush the enamel off. Amazing what is sold on this planet. Weird problems but working on it. Any ideas are welcome. (they use so many nasty chems in most of the oral products nowadays)I haven't had any tooth/gum problems since making the switch. I don't even let the dentist polish my teeth anymore, when I go in for a cleaning, as my teeth/gums get so sensitive all over again from their polishing paste. If you use a regular toothbrush, use "soft" bristled over medium or hard, as the med/hard bristles can damage/irritate the gums. Personally, I would also find a new dentist, since they won't answer your questions.Jan Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
Your very welcome Glenda. I work in Clearwater, Florida... so far away.... I work in Dr. Ian "Doc" Shillington's Office. I'm his office manager as well as assist in his Academy of Natural Healing. This is still being organized further as it's not gotten out of the baby stages as yet. But Everything he touches grows sooner or later. He even insisted on having an organic Juice/snack bar in the downtown area so all his students can see what he talks about when sprouting and juicing and whatnot. Very cool experience working for him. Guest guest
?? I didn't see any ingredients, just different flavors available. What is your special concoction? Guest guest
My advice would be to use Sarakan toothpaste. Most HFS's sell it or you can find it on line.
