Guest guest
OK, I have gotten and listened to Doc's CD. No I haven't called him because I never returned the consent forms, now I can't find them and I am 15 weeks pregnant. I am miserable! My asthma is constant no relief. My pulminologist has me on prednisone, OB agrees it is best to breathe. I cannot stand prednisone, I have gained 20 pounds in the last 2 months which I know is not helping me breathe. I am also on pulmicort and combivent. I cannot hardly walk across the room with out getting out of breath and feeling my heart pound! This is ridiculous!! There has got to be something natural and safe to use/try during pregnancy. Anyone know of anything?? Thanks, Vikki
Guest guest
Hello Vikki being that you are taking a steriod....have you asked about an oxygen tank? I would ask a lot of questions and if the side effects for the baby and your self I would demand an oxygen tank...I know insurance's can be funny, but if you make a big stink about it they might listen. I had to take steroids close to birth because of prematurity and I found lots of good info on ivillage....I also did a lot of research on homeopathic medicines and treatments for pregnant women. Guest guest
Vikki- You should call Doc and get a consult with him. There are a lot of things he can give you tips on. I can recommend some things to, as I have worked with my sister to greatly reduce her asthma, but I would rather you talk to Doc because you are pregnant....the first thing I would recommend would be to get a juicer and start making your self some fresh veggie and fruit juices (1/2 /day). Guest guest
Vicki, I used to get asthma as a child and teen, then it went away for about 20 yrs, and came back in my early 40's. By this time, I was eating a lot better, but something was obviously missing. What worked for me was cod liver oil and two capsules a day of a product called Moducare (read about it on-line). I have not had one asthma attack since then, and I am 56 yrs now. One more thought is to make sure you have good bowel movements every day to clean the toxins out of your body. And drink a lot of water. Jan Vikki [mommysean] Thursday, April 07, 2005 9:04 PMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Please any suggestions??OK, I have gotten and listened to Doc's CD.
