Guest guest
I don't know much about this ,Starris, but my husband had a single tooth implant about 10 years ago and he has never had a problem with it - there is nothing he can't eat with it even though its a front tooth - it cost a bundle but it was more than worth it Glenda - Starris herbal remedies Thursday, April 07, 2005 3:03 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Dental Surgery help My dentist said I relied too much on my water-pik. That it couldn't remove plaque. I still thought it removed the cause of plaque. Next week I'm going in for dental implants. I'm in my 70's so my teeth aren't a very good color. Dark. I used to have them bonded, but that all wore off. They're going to put me totally out, yank my teeth, and put screws in my jaw to hold the permanent implants. Does anyone know what side effects I should expect? My mind is made up. I'm worried about how teeth relate to certain body parts like feet relate to reflexology. Starris - MorningGlory113 I once went to a dentist (now deceased) who told me that he has patients who use a combo of Listerine and water in a water-pik, put it on low pressure and shoot the mixture right up between the teeth into their gums. He said he has seen a remarkable improvement in the reduction of gum pockets when they do this. Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
That's what I wanted to hear, Glenda. Thank you so much LOL. The pamphlet I picked up at the dentist's office said the screws in your jaw could in rare cases cause facial nerve damage, but the dentist himself said I could get them in the morning and be treated to lunch at noon. My plan is to wait about a month and then take everyone I like salad bar hopping. Let's hope we have Almond Rocha at the check stands. Anything crispy! Know what my favorite is? Raw broccoli with Feta cheese. Guest guest
I hope your surgery is 100% successful Starris and I'll be thinking about you and waiting to see an email message saying you're doing just fine. My husband only had the one tooth done and between you and me, Starris, he doesn't take as good care of his teeth as he should but he hasn't had a problem with the implant and you'd never know he had one by looking at him - the colour and shape all match his other teeth. Take care Glenda - Starris herbal remedies Friday, April 08, 2005 7:00 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Re: Dental Surgery help-Att:Starris That's what I wanted to hear, Glenda. Thank you so much LOL. Guest guest
I don't know how expensive your surgery is, Starris but my husband paid $250 for the visit and Xrays and then $1500 for the one tooth implant . It was worth it though our teeth are our way to smile at the world - Starris herbal remedies Saturday, April 09, 2005 10:19 AM Re: Herbal Remedies - Re: Dental Surgery help-Att:Starris I'm sure I'll be fine.
