Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have just joined the group and will give a bit of info about myself. My name is Lisa, I live in NW Florida, and recently started a correspondence course to become an herbalist. I wanted to learn how to help my daughter and I as we were both been chemically poisoned for over a decade, without my knowledge that's what my health problem was. I feel i've been following a path toward being able to heal my daughter and myself. This is how I became interested in herbal healing. I joined a school for the herbalist correspondence course and then I was given Dr.Christophers Herbalist Seminar video Course. I knew then that this is what i'm suppose to do and have found my way here, which I look forward to getting to know everyone. I have a question and hope someone can suggest something. After being told by my doctor, that there is no cure for multiple chemical sensitivity and my outlook is very bleak, i've decided to try and help myself any way I can. I know my liver isn't functioning correctly and I want to do something to get it working right again. I want to take it slow and not try to do too many things at one time. Being new with my studies I know i'm not educated enough to know what to do to try and help myself. Is there anything someone can suggest that I try? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks, Lisa
Guest guest
Hi Lisa, Welcome to the list. Sounds like you're doing great with your new aims in life. I came into herbal/natural healing for the same reason: to help my (Down's Syndrome) son! I'm not doing a course (yet) but have learned a lot over the last 4 years from Doc and the other people on this list here. This is indeed a wonderful place to start! You would need a Total Body Cleanse to fix your chemical sensitivities and non-functioning liver, but as you want to take things slow, I would start with improving your diet (which you'd need to do anyhow). Firstly, buy only certified organic foods; start with all meat/poultry products (which are the worst) and then all other products. Ensure you consume only distilled water (as opposed to tap water). Reduce or remove all dairy products. Check out the sprouting information with regards to foods containing enzyme inhibitors. See the articles The Hidden Influence in the files on the website, and the articles on sprouting. In any case, listen to Doc's lecture on: http://www.AcademyOfNaturalHealing.com love Lisa de Haas UK Senior Moderator - dixieessentials herbal remedies Friday, April 08, 2005 10:41 PM Herbal Remedies - Hello Newbie Here Hi Everyone, I have just joined the group and will give a bit of info about myself. Guest guest
a while back my sil became sensitive and allergic to everything, and I mean everything. She was down to eating apple sauce and homemade bread, and she started to get allergic to those. She couldn't go out, nothing. She started a cleanse with Hydrogen Peroxide (food grade) and now she isn't allergic to anything. She highly recommends HP, but there are lots of other cleanses too. Most traditional " physicians " don't even admit MCS occurs, let alone offer help or direction with it. You may be able to find some help if you seek a good Alternative Practitioner tho. I've been MCS for years, due to Doctor prescribed " pharmaceuticals " . (you wouldn't believe the chems that make up modern medicines nowadays) By the time I figured out it was the drugs that were making me so sick, my " sensitivities " had gotten to the point that I was reacting to all other petro/coal tars commonly found in everything else too. Just like with other poisons, one of the main detoxification organs for drugs, is the liver. The 2 supplements I've found most helpful for liver support, are Milk Thistle and Dandelion. (I only react to chemicals tho, I have no reactions to things found in nature, so YMMV if you do) The ONLY way to lessen MCS symptoms/reactions is AVOIDANCE of all these common everyday chems that are so popular in our society. Many MCS'ers continue using/ingesting the chems they " think " don't affect them, only to have their reactions " spread " to other triggers, until they start having reactions to just about anything, whether chemical or nature derived. Fortunately, I've been able to contain my reactions to just the synthetic " man-made " triggers. Don't give up just becuz that Dr. claims your outlook is bleak..... There are many, many things you can do to improve/regain your health, but it does mean major lifestyle changes. It has taken me several years, but I've regained about 85% of my former health back before I took the prescribed drugs which triggered my MCS. And I'm going for the full 100%... Guest guest
Another good way to get H2O2 into your system is to get an atomizer bottle and spray into your throat as you inhale. Make sure it's diluted first, of course. I do this four times a day and it has probably done more for my health than any other one thing. Well, actually the intestinal cleanses have done just as much good. I am on IC2 now for a couple of days and can't believe what I've been living with all these years! I intend to get to the total body cleanse but couldn't afford all the stuff at once and thought the IC's were the best place for me to start. They are worth their weight in gold.
