Lisa,Thanks for the information. I'm going to be using an herbal supplement with Kelp, Watercress, Nettle Leaf, Mullein Leaf, Parsley Leaf, Irish Moss, & Sheep Sorrel . It is 950 mg. per serving. The Kelp Herb is listed as the first ingredient so I'm hoping this will help my situation.Any other information on correcting an underactive thyroid would be appreciated.Ireneimclark [Original Message]> Lisa de Haas <lisa> 5/13/2005 5:22:58 AM> Hi Irene,>> She also writes: "When persons with underactive thyroid glands have > been given daily both 4 mg of iodine (the amount supplied by a tsp > of kelp) and 600 units of vit E, the amount of iodine taken up by > the gland and the quantity of thyroid hormones in the blood have > each increased almost immediately and markedly.">> She writes a lot more of this condition and various thyroid > deficiencies.
