Guest guest
Hi, I ordered some cayenne and deep tissue repair from Doc. Now I need some guidance on using this stuff. I looked through the archives and it said put some cayenne in water and do a water chaser. Well that was some way to wake up in the morning. The bottle says 3 - 30 drops. I used 10 in a small glass of water. Lit my mouth up like the 4th of July here in Wash DC. What is the most effective way to mask it without ruining what you put it in. I don't think I would like to put it in my smoothie as I like them, and would be afraid I would ruin them for example. Next question is the deep tissue repair. This is for my lower back. I lied down on my stomach on the floor, filled up about 1/2 a dropper and squeezed it on my back, then rubbed it in best I could with my hands. Problem is, even after washing my hands multiple times a few hours later I touched my eye and it burnt. Should I get latex or rubber gloves, or does this stuff go through them. With much thanks Joe
Guest guest
Joe, If you have some empty capsules, you can put the drops in them and swallow them. I do this with extracts that taste awful. Gloves would probably help. Lynn - Joe Anshien herbal remedies Saturday, July 02, 2005 7:34 AM Herbal Remedies - Help using remedies Hi, I ordered some cayenne and deep tissue repair from Doc. Guest guest
Sorry Joe but your explanation of the cayenne made me laugh. My hubby takes his in tomatoe juice. I take it with apple cider vinager. Also maybe you should start with a lower dose till you get used to it. As for the other I don't have advise for it. But the cayenne is hard to remove from ones hands, mabe try some white vinager to remove it I use it to get rid of the smell and oder of garlic and fish. Guest guest
Doc says the stuff has to be tasted in the mouth or the stumach gets a shock like abomb goig off which is not good for it. Also the body uses it better and it trakes less if you just swallow it. Pat M > Joe, > If you have some empty capsules, you can put the > drops in them and swallow them. Guest guest
Bummer. I really liked the capsules idea;} So we are back to the " no pain, no gain " thinking. I even like some of my foods on the " hot " side but this cayenne formula is like a thermo nuclear device to the system. No wonder it is supposed to reduce blood pressure, it feels sort of like draino for the arteries. I used latex gloves yesterday and they seemed to work for the deep tissue repair stuff. Thanks for the help. Joe Message: 7 Sat, 2 Jul 2005 18:27:03 -0700 (PDT) " Pat M. Guest guest
Poor Joe I sympathize with you but yes in this case and with most tinctures it has to go right in no capsules. Try starting with one drop and work your way up. Or as I suggested there is always tomato juice. Pat M PS thanks for the laugh. Guest guest
Joe, I agree with the idea of taking it in smaller amounts until you adjust to it. I am taking a couple of formulas that has a lot of cayenne as part of the formula. I actually had to cut way back on the dosage and increase very slowly over a two-three week period before I could take the recommended amount. In the beginning, if I took the recommended dosage, I would vomit within a few minutes. I'm able to tolerate the formulas now without any problems.
