The problem our family is running into is after a the school day is out or after the work day is over (sometimes it doesn't even make it that far) you just frankly smell like you haven't even put any deodorant on, UG! Does anyone know of a good reliable aluminum free deodorant (and where I can get it) that won't let yea down? One that's Guaranteed to work!?! Thanks, Tash
Guest guest
I have the same problem and I now use the crystal and take chlorophyll tabs to back it up. I live in Arizona so most deodorants did not work for me. - Tizzy Friday, February 29, 2008 7:09 AM Aluminum Free Deodorant Question Ok. I'm trying to find a Non-Aluminum or Aluminum Free Deodorant. Guest guest
Hugh, Detox your body: colon, kidney, liver cleanses. Do a 14 day orange juice fast. Go raw fruitarian for 1 month. You will smell fresh everyday without deodorants. In the meantime you can carry a lemon with you and squeeze on a few drops every now and then. Guest guest
Tash, Have you tried the Salt sticks? They work wonders for my family, although the kids prefer a popular deodorant for men. They do use the salt stick when hunting, though. I bought mine at a health food store, but i believe that sometimes you can get it from the dreaded Walmart or some grocery stores. Guest guest
Some aluminium deodorants work really well for some people, and not for others. I must be particulary smelly (maybe something to do with hormonal changes as I'm 43) but find that for a few weeks or a couple of months an aluminium free deodorant will work, then stop working halfway or near the end of the day. Neways has an aluminium free deodorant that works very well for a lot of people (including my husband), but only works for me sometimes. So I'm like you, trying different ones until they stop working, then switching back to one that worked for a while before. Have tried Neways (worked for about six months), Natural Instinct (worked for three months), Avalon Organics (worked for three months - am now using it again and so far so good): http://www.neways.com.au/ (an American companying which has web sites individually for most countries) http://www.naturalinstinct.com.au/ http://www.avalonorganics.com/ (I particularly like their wild yam fragranced one) Another one I've heard of is from Lush, but I don't know what it's like: http://www.lush.com/lushlife/deo.htm The crystal ones were totally useless for me, but I know they work for others. Unfortunately for you/me it will probably be a long trial-and-error exercise to find one that works consistently. In the meantime, find one that works for a while, then switch to another that works for a while, then switch back to one of the earlier ones until you have to change again. Guest guest
Aluminium is bad for health, bad for the lymph glands that are adjacent to the axillae and breasts, trying to eliminate aluminium from the body is worth the effort - there are many aluminium free deodorants on the market, and several ways to reduce body odour so you don't need to use deodorants at all. * soap is residual and odour forming - bacteria grows in soap residue in most body folds * alcohol, tobacco, meat & onion family plants all tend to make the body odour stronger * drinking more water reduces body odour * baking soda and VitE oil reduce body odour without causing harm * tension and fear cause more body odour than anything else * natural fibres lessen body odour, synthetics increase it Best, Jane - Lynn Ward Saturday, March 01, 2008 11:58 PM Fwd: Re: Aluminum Free Deodorant Question Apparently the address provided by Tash was not valid, so I'm sending this to the group At 10:36 AM 2/29/2008, you wrote:Amy,You sent this to me by mistake - I've forwarded it to Tash.Lynn Tash,Have you tried the Salt sticks?
