Steven is correct.

Bruce based himself in a long study (over 25 yrs) of the classical styles before

creating his Jeet Kune Do. Most who are succesful within his style today have

first studied Wing Chun or White Crane -two of the classical styles from which

Bruce created his JKD.

" One who has no foundation in the classical knowledge is standing on sand and

will be washed away with the first tide... "

Manu,

I don't see anybody on this list is avoiding change at all costs. For

myself, I am simply avoiding making wholesale changes to TCM for the

sake of pleasing WM based on non-justifiable claims of scientific

explanation and the need for term choices to match WM if TCM is to

survive.

It is that simple.

Best Wishes,

Steve

PS -Bruce Lee was truly a great thinker; but I am not impressed with

your use of his quotes to suggest me or others are ignorant or enslaved

just because we don't agree with a book you love.

wanted t shake people up as we can often become so comfortable and complacent

that we fear change. Sorry for any offence people.
