I don't know much about cosmetic acupuncture and this is not a

reflection on that, it

may be a valid system of intervention. Following are some thoughts, as

usual, off the cuff:

Face which ages is because of something wrong on some other pages. Facial

blemishes [wrinkles, dry skin, discolorations, sagging] are organ

specific and are difficult

to treat to the exclusion of that element.

To an extent this is true, when blemishes are:

Under the eyes - a Water paucity;

At the side of the eye - a GB Excess

On upper lid - a GB & ST problem

At the eyebrow medial end - a UB Heat

At the middle - a GB flux

At the lateral end - a SJ engorgement

Cheek central - ST in flux

Cheek lateral - SI in flux

Cheek medial - Yangming flux

Nasolabial fold flushed - Colon Heat

Nasolabial fold leveled - Colon qi Spent

Nasolabial fold excoriated - Colon Dye

This one is more for men:

Jowl engorged and puffy - ST Stagnated [someone needs to put on a treadmill]

Sideburns grayed and jowl engorged and puffy - ST Heat Offends Water Yang

When you see this [last finding] you will by and large find a Widow's

Peak hair

loss in the making, this without any real widow].

Later on the hair recession in this pattern proceeds till it touches the

line of the

parietal sutures, when this ceases. ST based hair loss will not go

beyond this line.
