Love the drift of the conversation. I had this great idea that

someone has or could make a training video concerning direct moxa

techniques. I'd buy it.

thanx,

Cameron

good idea; will talk to my producer and work out feasibility. if we do

make it we will have the video certified

to earn CEUS so folks will learn and earn CEUS at the same time.

just finished doing a production on spontaneous Pneumothorax and how

acupuncturists may avoid the risk.

should be up and running for 1 to 3 CEUS inside March.

Just got an early order discount for book and DVD on " The Art of

Acupuncture " by Ikeda Masakazu, which includes both acupuncture and direct

moxa in Japanese traditions that follow classical CM. Eastland press is

taking orders for a 15% discount if ordered before March 31. Hope this

helps.

Hi all,

Another text, which I have found fundamental is Japanese Acupuncture - A

clinical guide by Stephen Birch and Junko Ida Paradigm Publications ISBN

0-912111-42-9.

This book covers many skills including both direct (both scarring and non

scarring are mentioned with most skills directed towards non-scarring direct

moxa) and indirect moxa, cupping, bloodletting, intradermal needles, press

tack, press spheres, Manaka's wooden hammer, case studies. Apart from the

skills training it also includes treatment formulae for diseases. For

instance cupping patterns for constipation, hemorrhoids, asthma, high blood

pressure, stroke, arteriosclerosis and so on and so forth. You won't find

TCM zang fu pathology yet I think the wm terms speak for themselves. There

are similar treatments using just moxa etc.

Best wishes,

have.
