Guest guest
Firstly I'd like to say I am a student, so if this is something obvious, my apologies. I have a patient that is suffering from a bad taste in her mouth every time she eats. The taste is similar to that of sour milk and gets stronger when she eats sweet foods. There seems to be no other symptoms. Has anyone come across this? Or has any advice on how I should proceed. Thank you Find local movie times and trailers on Movies. http://au.movies. Guest guest
I'm going to come at this from a Western perspective, if that's ok with the list. She may be hypochlorhydric, or she may also suffer from a bacterial overgrowth in the intestine, quite possibly yeast, but it may also be something like Citrobacter freundii. In the absence of additional GI symptoms, I would go with the former. Easy enough to test, have her take betaine hydrochloride with meals, see if the taste goes away. Avery L.
