Guest guest
Hi Doug, When you get a chance in LA, note the time there and that same time in Beijing ... for argument sake lets say it is between 9-11 am in LA ie Spleen time and lets say its between 1-3 am in Beijing ie Liver time when you are in LA. So lets say you are in a taxi you reach down, slip your shoe off and tap Liver 3 and Spleen 3 simultaneously on one side of the body, now slip the other shoe off and do the same. This protocol comes from my colleague who is a kinesiologist, hence the tapping and not needling. You could probably do a number of things to these points to stimulate them. I think of it like this, imagine a field where all the sunflowers are at the same height, and the tapping rises two of these sunflowers up high above the other, they exchange information, and in so doing bring the field into local time or lets call it current functional time according to the Chinese clock. You can play with this idea... say a person moves their bowels between 5-7 pm every day, Kidney time, well I have needled the source points of Kd and LI as a symptomatic treatment (no worry of direction or tonification or depletion ... don't worry about that just light insertion, pleasant... no de qi .. no needle manipulation, etc... but if you must do so then do so) and presto the next day, they start to move their bowels like clock work from 5-7 AM and continue there after without a problem. I ought to say, that in this real case I mentioned that KD and LI are also polar pairs, so perhaps that may also play a part or it might just also be a coincidence. I have done this for several people. Hope its a great flight!
