In fact .. its the truth. The French and Indian Wars in the British

Colonies of the US and in disputed Canada were fought with the French

having something like 8 to 1 odds in their favor .. plus their Indian

allies .. and year after year they lost battles and ground to folks with

squirrel rifles, homespun clothes and deer skin moccasions.

 

There were some exceptional French soldiers .. but very few exceptional

generals .. Marquis de Lafayette being an exception .. but that young

feller who had a name about 10 words long began his military training in

earnest at age 11 .. and that's all he ever did.

One don't gotta have a special occasion to enjoy those nice things.

First thing I do when I hit Kentucky or Tennessee each year is head for

a Pit Bar-B-Que joint .. and big-time pig out. Folks down South know

that there's two kinds of folks whut can't Bar-B-Que worth a dang .. one

is white and the other is not Suthran. ;-p
