Guest guest
morning all, I'm to tired this week (asthma & allergy sufferer)to surf the net looking for emu oil. I'd like to make some soap with emu oil in it, for my little baseball playing boys**(6'2 " 210 pds.)One of them the dr. gave Vioxx? to for a seperated shoulder for pain and swelling and I thought maybe an achy, joint and muscle relief soap might help. If anyone knows a good supplier and or recipe I would really appreciate the input/advice. Also, someone said it comes in clear or white, does it matter for soaping? thanks all
Guest guest
Hello Sindy, :-) My personal opinion would be to mix emu oil and Helichrysum italicum together and rub it on the joints. It would do a lot better than soap. Soap washes off and there wouldn't be any benefit for him. Until you get the emu oil tho... dilute the Helichrysum in a carrier oil and use that to gently rub/massage it in. It will still do your sons a lot of good. According to Valerie Ann Worwood in her book " The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy " (page 26) the following is recommended for bruising: 16 drops Rosemary 16 drops Geranium 8 drops Lavender 1 ounce carrier oil Same book, page 87. This is recommended for Muscular Pain/Stress: 15 drops Cypress 10 drops Lavender 5 drops Rosemary 1 ounce carrier oil I would add a few drops of Helichrysum to them also.
