Guest guest
Just off the phone, in a 4 way call with my aunt, her MD and her surgeon. They are going to meet her at the hospital, now. Her MD was very nice from the get go. The surgeon was some what cocky to begin with, even when I said please: but he decided to stay a little longer this evening to attend to her when I explained, I had been instructed to call her attorney back after my conversation with them. The attorney faxed over a health care power of attorney while we were still on the phone. I have been assured by the surgeon he will telephone me later tonight before he leaves for his home. Thank you all, this is THE Best group of folks with such a wide range of life experiences. I am sure ready for that Irish Coffe now. Guest guest
Chris and all who responded ~ You are very kind. This list just amazes me on a regular basis with all the knowledge and life experience that abounds. The Dr did call a bit ago. He sounded as tired as I feel. He said she was resting comfortably and all looked good. He felt confident that all was now under control. I will say his attitude was postured differently. Lastly, he said if I had any further concerns to feel free to page him and he would get back to me as soon as possible. Let me assure you that I will not hesitate to call. ; -) I am a firm believer that everyone should have an advocate when they are ill or injured. Well enough for one day, the dream time awaits. Guest guest
Janet, I'm so glad to hear that your mother is resting and looking good! I've been thinking about her and praying that the doctors find the problem. Your mother is lucky to have you to make sure her needs are met when she's too sick and too tired to take care of herself. Blessings! Kathy Janet Golden-Hogan [janetkgolden] Thursday, May 01, 2003 2:40 AM RE: OT: Internal Bleeding Chris and all who responded ~ You are very kind. Guest guest
Hi Janet: So relieved to hear your Aunt is doing okay. Hate to think of what might have happened if you hadn't interceded. I have had similar experience along this line also and took on one doctor face to face. He, also, finally listened to me. Just have to take the bull by the horns sometimes to get them to listen. Blessings and love, Effie Janet Golden-Hogan <janetkgolden Thursday, May 01, 2003 3:38 AM RE: OT: Internal Bleeding >Chris and all who responded ~ > >You are very kind. >This list just amazes me on a regular basis with all the >knowledge and life experience that abounds. > >The Dr did call a bit ago. Guest guest
Sorry, Janet. I must have misread you email and thought it was your aunt. Blessings and prayers to your Mom.
