Hey Helen,

> LOL!! My Saturday chuckle.

Was kinda funny - huh? Thinking about Chris jumping around the room

trying to avoid stomping on a danged hongry cat. ;-p

> I have to say that lavender is my numero uno choice on a burn.

No question about it .. plus it stops pain IMMEDIATELY, speeds the

healing and reduces scarring. Its one of the few times that I would

approve neat use of an EO .. its worth the gamble.

It'll work fer'shur. And folks over 30 should know better .. but Chris

ain't over 30 yet so there's still hope for her. ;-)

Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

Dear Chris,

Sorry about your accident.

Glad when I just read your doing better.

Yes cats can get under foot. I have a puppy that is going to make me

break my neck.LOL

Be Careful

Nancy

My klutziness never ceases to amaze me. I was wax sealing some of the

VCO containers (trying to make them leak proof as mentioned the other

day) and I walked out of the kitchen for what was supposed to be just

a few moments - and I got distracted a little longer than I should

have.

When I got back to the kitchen the pot of paraffin wax I had warming

up

was a little too warm and had just started smoking so I removed it

from

the burner and went to put it outside the back door. Of course on the

way outside I spilled some of the hot wax onto much of the top of my

bare foot, and now I have a first degree burn with wax sealing it ;-p

This actually happened a couple of hours ago. I didn't really take

the time to tend to it like I should have because I had to run to a

couple

of stores before they closed (can't let the kitty go hungry), and I

just got back a little while ago, took a few moments to unpack the

groceries,

feed the baby, and I just looked down at my foot and boy oh boy is it

red ... I have my own ideas of what I do for burns, but having this

thin

layer of wax stuck to the top of my foot is a new one for me - its

almost like it melted into my skin. Anyone have any ideas of ways to

comfortably remove the wax, so that I can tend to the burn? ... I

don't

want to go and scrape it off, cause, well, the skin is already rather

irritated and in pain without doing that to it for goodness sake!

Thanks! :)

Have a great weekend folks!
