So .. your grandma's folks probably hung around the Hudson's Bay outfit

and learned all that Mountain Man tawk from Americans .. like, " That be

shining " .. and " which way's your stick floating " and " gone beaver " and

such colorful terms .. like gagging a maggot off a gut wagon. ;-p

Hard to split the Scot and Irish .. like splitting hairs sometimes. But

both were a major part of the backbone of the young child called the

United States of America.

It is Debbie .. damned interesting. Unfortunately, history texts used

in school make it boring .. shame it is. They oughta let younguns get

extra credit for reporting on outside reading .. there are many great

writers that can keep folks attention .. but none of them have ever

written a text book.
