Guest guest
Hi Chris & Group, ~~~~~~Let me clarify this: this is my opinion only from attending one HSMG convention in W. Va a couple of years ago, have not attended anything with HTN but Donna Marie did attend the HSMG convention~~~~~~ I think the benefit you would gain depends on where you are in your business. The HSMG is more big business oriented at least at the convention I attended. They are going through some adjustment with a new board & I know a couple of the members & wish they would have another term. I think they could do some fantastic things if the had more time. I plan on renewing my expired dues & giving them another chance. HTN is totally different. It is Donna Marie's organization, she has a nice book out, very smart lady on the legal end of the business. She has a very informative newsletter with some great recipes & highlights a product from different businesses (handmade products). Now, take this with a grain of salt because I am more of a hobbyist at this time in my life so I tend to get more information from gatherings & as Margie stated, the TSA convention this year had some excellent demo's & speakers. Nothing like having a gathering for brainstorming. If you want info on a demo, packaging, insurance etc. there is usually an attendee that loves to share. I hope this made sense. There are pros & cons & it does depend on what you are doing with your soapmaking.
