Aromatic Un-Conference

Hello, all, long time no see!

 

Afew months back I cut way back on the number of lists I was on

because I was feeling really overwhelmed with work, and thought that

was a good way to make more time for myself away from the computer.

What a nut, huh?

 

Anyway, a little birdie told me that there has been a alot of talk on

this list lately about our up coming Aromatic Un-Conference -

September 19-21, between those who are crowing about going, and those

who are sad they are not. I asked Chris yesterday would she mind if I

joined again and posted some more info about the Un-Conf right away,

and she said have at it, so here I am.

 

Last summer Graham and I thought we would be really smart and we set

up a contract with a local hotel to have the Un-Conf there this fall,

and have conference space and room for vendors. And then about 3

months ago the hotel renegged on the contract, and we were left

holding the proverbial bag. Graham and I figured God was trying to

tel us something, and we had so much going on with our shop that we

decided to not give it any more thought. But then we had some pople

from last year begging to know the dates for this fall, and saying

they had already made plans and plane reservations. So, voila, the

Un-Conf is back on.

 

Only problem is, a lot of OTHER people who had urged us to go ahead

then made other plans in the meantime. So, I wanted to let you know,

we are keeping the cost of the weekend to $50, which was the

early-bird price. We want more of you to come, we can promise a GREAT

time, lotsof talk about AT and new friends. There is a hotel right

next to our shop with great rates for the weekend.

Friday is field trip day (hey guys, don't forget you have to let me

know some ideas of what you want to do, so that I can make

reservations for you if needed), followed by a get together and have

fun meal at our clubhouse and pool. Then Sat & Sun are the actual

conference days. Our own Butch Owen and David Roman are both going to

give talks! :-X

 

So, let us know if you would like to attend! We want to have you

here, we love to meet new poeple and talk all aspects of AT, and we

made some great new friends last year. It is amazing how little

timeit takes a group of people to bond! And it is so cool to finally

meet those online friends in the flesh. IF you are going to join us,

submit some ideas for discussion topics that would interest you, we

design the schedule of discussions around what YOU want to talk about.
