Guest guest
Hey Janine, > there's 600 drops in one oz right? depending on the size and all, but > basically, right? There is no one correct answer for this .. depends on density and that can vary considerably even amongst products normally used in the AT industry .. as much as 25% or more. For other products it can vary a hundred or more percent. And also, it depends on what kinda ounce you are dealing with .. be it Avoir. or Fluid Ounce. We can put the same amount of water or molten lead in a Fluid ounce but it won't have the same Avoir. ounce weight (density) so it will not equate to the same number of drops. Weights and measures are two different things .. everybody knows this but sometimes we miss the forest cause we're concentrating on the trees. > Warm regards, > Janine Phariss > www.BlueSageNaturals.com > Unique & Innovative Herbals Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
I have some unscented lotion that I purchased at the health food store specifically so that I could scent it myself. I purchased small, 3 oz bottles to put it in. The big question is: How much EO? For example, I want to make a lavender lotion. For 3oz of unscented lotion, how many drops of EO? To make my arthritis lotion, would I use the same proportion as I use for arthritis balm? I used X drops of one kind, Y drops of another per 1 oz of shea butter. Does the measurement translate? Thanks JS
Guest guest
Hi JS, Droppers are variable based on the size of the orrifice. For consistency, try measuring with a small syringe: about .5cc per 4 oz. Start on the low end. you can always add more. I find that a full cc is on the strong side based on the fragrance or eo.
