I swear.

A friend of Steve's told me how wonderful Dr. bronners peppermint soap is

for everything. well i've never tried it and it's supposed to be good for

everything in washing.

ok ok ok, i'll get to the point. i just washed my face with it. and I am

BURNING.

well was gonna ask what to do, but grabbed the silky face serum and

slathered it on. it's not burning on my eyes now, just the outsides of my

cheeks, over by my ears.

toopid toopid toopid, [as a wee girl used to say]

ok ok ok I've learned my lesson. Dang, you'd think I'd know by now eh?

there's not one thing good for everything and if it has so much peppermint

eo in it that it smellin it so strongly that it's a strong smell, for

goodness sake, don't wash your face in it.

I used to be a manager/buyer of the " health and beauty aids " at a health

food store and I have heard this complaint about the Dr.Bronners Peppermint

soap for YEARS! Burns the face and OTHER sensitive body areas! The makers of

that soap have NO concept in that area :( I suppose its a good thing they

don't make a Cinnamon soap, huh?

I hope your face feels better!

Chris, Janine

Sorry that I'm laughing - not at your ouchy face, but the fact that it says

'dilute! dilute! dilute! about a dozen times on the bottle, doesn't it?

That's always been a joke on lists, the dilute! bit and all the weird

writings.

PS I used some Olbas Herbal bath soap today (liquid) with has many EOs in

it besides peppermint, all of them 'zingy', and heck, I like the way it

makes my 'other areas' feel :-)

You're supposed to dilute it. But I wouldn't use the peppermint on my

face, even if I diluted it a lot.

I use Dr. Bronners soaps for shampoo and for body wash, but I always dilute

them a lot, so I never have a problem with them. The label tells you to

dilute it, and it suggests various dilutions for different uses; but I do a

1:1 dilution for body wash and a 1:3 dilution for shampoo. I even know

people who brush their teeth with the peppermint, but I've never used it

for that.

LOL. there's so much writing on it, AND it's so little, I couldn't find

directions to dilute!

I too, like little stingy things but not on my face.

I used to put salt on small cuts when I was a kid, cause I liked the feel of

it. And I like stuff like tei fu lotion in other areas. [can ya tell i used

to sell nature's sunshine?]

but not ma face. I just wimp right up when it comes to my face.

Course, having had oral surgery 3 weeks and 2 days ago makes me a weinie for

a while with stuff where my face is concerned. :)
