Guest guest
Typically my monthly cycles are pretty mild, and an advil or two typically gets me through everything fine. But this month is terrible.. I pretty much dont want to move, and Ive been taking advil like they are candy. I have a ton of herbal teas, and my mothers makes herbal soap, so she has alot of dried herbs.. is there anything I can do to help lessen the pain? Guest guest
raspberry tea with a bit of ginger works wonders, and then look at a female balencing. that kind of problem is consistant with a low progesterone which can cause all kinds of problems in the future when you want to have a baby. ramona Quoting Sarah Waller <swaller: > Typically my monthly cycles are pretty mild, and an advil or two > typically gets me through everything fine. Guest guest
Dear Sarah, I find it is nice to start treating menstrual cramps before the period starts. For several days before my period I make a tea with dandilion leaves, raspberry leaves, and nettle. All of these are high in nutrition and are diuretics to help with premenstual or menstrual bloating. Rasperry leaves will also help with uturine tone and lessen cramps. Chaste tree berries (tea or tincture) will help with PMS, and are good for people who have harsh cycles with intense cramps. A lot of menstrual cramps can be due to poor quality fats in the diet. If this is you, try taking several capsules of evening primrose oil per day for several months as you add more olive, sesame, flax, palm kernal, avocado, borage oil and lessen the canola, soy or corn oil. Essentially, eating better in general (less processed foods) can lessen your cramps. During your period you can also take Yarrow, wild yam, catnip, cramp bark and black cohosh can lessen cramps, yarrow will decrease flow (for heavy flow) and black cohosh with help with too light of a flow. This is a lot, but I wanted to give you a variety of things you can do for what might be available to you. Try a couple or all of them! I used to have really horrible cramps and even if I only have time to do the first tea I mentioned a few days before and through my period it is immensly helpful. Good luck.
