Guest guest
I've always had problems with sinus infections, hay fever, irritation, swelling, etc etc etc. The best remedy I've found is something called a "Neti Pot." It's actually something available at Walgreens, believe it or not. You might have to tear the store apart and search high and low, but look for something called "SinuCleanse." It's a little pot that looks sort of like Aladdin's lamp. You put the contents of a small packet of salts in the pot, and fill it with lukewarm (body temp) water. Then, leaning over a sink with your head turned to the side, you place the spout of the pot in your upper nostril and GENTLY pour a steady stream of water. It flows from the top nostril and out the bottom one. You don't sniff it into your sinuses, this is just a really good wash of the nasal cavity. Then repeat on the other side with another pot of water and salts. This is especially great for allergies, because you wash the allergens out! And by flushing out all the thick mucus, your sinuses are able to drain naturally! Best part? It's so gentle, you can do it as many times in one day as you need to! Since I started using a Neti Pot, I can sleep the entire night through without having my head get plugged up, snoring constantly, and waking up with a dry mouth and a stuffed up nose! ~VOW
