I'm new to the group so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm a

single mother of three and I pretty much only treat them with herbs.

The question that I have is I have tried pretty mich everything to

slow the bleeding when I get my period. Most months it gets so bad

that I can be far from a bathroom because I'm in there about every 15

minutes. One month I drank shepard's purse tea what seemed like by the

gallon full. That helped but the next month it did NO GOOD. I've tried

pills that would work on month but not the next. (I can't remember

what was all in them.) I'm almost to the point of going to the doctor

and getting everything pulled out cause I can't stand this. I don't

want anymore children I just want my periods to slow down or stop all

together. Can anyone help me?????

Thanks,

Tuesday

Check out the Female Formulas in the files - they will re-balance your female hormones, as it sounds like they are out of whack. That should handle the problem.

A note of the side: while I was eating only organic raw foods as part of my cleanse/Incurables program, my period lasted only 2 days! A friend of mine told me she'd heard of that before with people eating a raw diet.

I don't know if you use " conventional " tampons/pads, but if so, have

you ever tried eliminating them for a period or so?

About 4 or 5 years ago, I stopped using them, and each and every

period since then went down to only 4 days (they were always 6 - 7

days long before that - my entire life) In addition, my periods are

always much lighter now, and I have less cramping and even less

bloating from water retention.

I have mentioned this to several other women I know, and most have

found the same/similar results when they tried it....

I believe that the synthetic fibers, bleaches, anti-microbial

pesticides, chemical scents etc. used in mainstream sanitary products

must cause some type of inflammatory reponse in many women, and can

induce different symptoms from their use (especially the tampons used

internally).

Just a thought, in case you may not have tried it yet...

One more thought, is that if (?) you take any chemical

pharmaceuticals, many of them can cause a host various menstrual side-

effects... Check PDR's/Product Information Sheets on them (if you

take any)

angelica root, anise, arnica flower, asafoetida, bogbean, boldo, Bromelain - Herbs with Anti-platelet properties. capsicum, celery, chamomile, clove - Herbs with Anti-platelet properties. danshen, fenugreek, feverfew, fish oil, garlic - It has been indicated that when essential garlic oil was mixed with blood samples from healthy individuals, cells were less likely to clump together (coagulate) in a laboratory setting. Although there had been no documented reports of any serious interaction effects when taking both Coumadin and garlic, studies had implied that a serious reaction might be possible. ginger - Traditionally, ginger (Zingiber officinale) has been taken to curb motion sickness and arthritis. Today, it has been reported to reduce blood clotting. ginkgo - Ginkgo leaf has been shown to decrease platelet aggregation. It is thought that the ginkgo constituent, ginkgolide B, displaces platelet-activating factor from its binding sites, decreasing blood coagulation (6048). horse chestnut, horseradish, licorice, meadowsweet - Herbs that may contain salicylates. onion - Herbs with Anti-platelet properties. panax ginseng, papain, passionflower, poplar - Herbs that may contain salicylates. prickly ash, quassia, red clover, turmeric - Herbs with Anti-platelet properties. vitamin E - At appropriate doses, vitamin E has been shown to have virtually the same pharmacological properties as Coumadin (crystalline warfarin sodium - a prescription anticoagulant). This means that appropriately high doses of Vitamin E may be substituted for Coumadin. Vitamin E may be considered safer than warfarin, the generic name of Coumadin. Increase the dose of Vitamin E over a period of weeks. Most people start with 200 IU daily, and eventually get to between 1,200 and 2,400 IU daily. Do it gradually, and here's a way to tell how it is working - Go in to see your doctor regularly, as you always do, and continue to have him check your protime with a blood test called the PT-INR (Pro Time - International Normalized Ratio), as he always does. If you get the protime numbers he wants, he may not care how you got them and they can be mainteaned safely. The more Vitamin E you take, the stronger the Coumadin's effect. You'll probably get to the point where your protime is too

long, and your doctor may have to reduce the dosage of Coumadin." wild carrot, wild lettuce, willow bark - Herb that may contain salicylates, and others.

Good luck, I hope this helps.zoomom9 <zoomom9 wrote:
