Guest guest
trivia: Vitamin C is also known as Ascorbic-Acid. The name of a Vitamin C Deficieny is called " Scurvy " . So, the word Ascorbic Acid literally means: " Anti-Scurvy Acid " ; this is because: " A " means " Anti " (opposite) and the word Scorbic is another word for " Scurvy " . So " A-scorbic Acid " means " Anti-Scurvy Acid " which menas that " A- scorbic Acid prevents and or reverses Scurvy " . In the 1800's Sailors suffered greatly until it was discovered that Limes; high in Vitamin C; could prevent Scurvy. We call sailors Limies for this reason. All fruits are high in Ascorbic Acid/ " C " . So to combat Scurvy one needs anti-scurvy acid/Vitamin C..sold OTC. sources of Vitamin C: " green-peppers; tomatoes; all tropical fruits; native-berries such as blueberries and cranberries are good; all citrus-fruit has it; dried-fruit has Vitamin C. " (Hint: Natural Berry-Jams; like Red-Currant Jelly have Vit. C). Anne/
